During room tidy whilst we were on a Lapland Day trip, our child’s teddy bear was taken from room and never found by housekeeping. Cue endless tears when we arrived back to the hotel. If it wasn’t for that, it would have been a super stay but it really soured our visit.

Our dinner on the evening of the 10 December was the Belly Pork with the Dauphinoise potatoes. We were told it would take about 20 minutes. No problem at all.When it arrived, 10 out of 10 for presentation, however.... the lower half of the potatoes were not fully cooked. This was told to the table waiter who took both plates back to the kitchen. He returned after 5 minutes saying that the chef has said there was nothing wrong with them. I called the manager and informed him. He went back to the kitchen and returned saying the chef would replace the meal.Another 30 minutes and it came back, perfectly cooked this time, although we didn't really fancy it after over an hours wait.. The bill came to £81.00and the annoying thing was that we were not even offered a glass of wine on the house. All they were interested in saying was that there was nothing wrong with the potatoes. Sorry, I would not have said any more after leaving the hotel, but this is the second time you have asked for my comments, so here they are Anthony W.

Overall experience was excellent - from check in (and complimentary drink) until I left. The room was clean, spacious and well provided. All the staff I encountered there were professional and courteous.

Met at door by Porter who helped with our luggage-excellent. Easy check in. Comfortable room but too close to bar (some noise) Very good stay spoilt by adjacent room playing loud music until late when we wanted an early night.

Great food and service from breakfast in Verve and also from the bar in the evening, the room is fabulously well appointed and very comfortable bed
