I stayed at the Sofitel Gatwick on 2/2/2026. I was very disappointed on check-in to find that the room allocated had a fold down double bed in addition to the double bed and that the only other furniture was a small round table and chair. A member of housekeeping collapsed the bed which left a large void however he was unable to explain how the ac worked which was set on 24 and blowing out cold air. When I checked out I mentioned the lack of furniture, amenities, robes, slippers and biscuits and was told they were available on request. The senior member of staff who spoke to me promised an email with an apology would be in my inbox that day. 10 days later and nothing has arrived. I have always found Sofitel Gatwick a good hotel, this time it was very poor.

Here often for work. The Staff are always very friendly especially Gurdeep in the bar and restaurant. The restaurant itself could do with some new menu items, however, this is only an issue if visiting frequently. Beds are very comfy and the amenities in the room very good. The gym is also small but modern and serviceable. One note to management… crew are often on site and so are out of the room at odd hours. A sweep of each floor to make the rooms up for those who need to sleep in due to working lates would be ideal and more options with vegetables on the crew menus where available! I’m sure I’ll be back. :)

Very convenient and comfortable hotel with a very well designed and appointed room. The beds are extremely comfortable to help attain a good night’s sleep before a flight. Easy and quick to walk into airport checkin area next morning. Will use again.

Good location. Comfortable rooms. However, two of the four lifts were out of service and being renovated which caused not only delays in using those lifts that were working but also drilling and banging building noise. As a result, we did not have breakfast the next day and left early.

Delighted to have been upgraded to a Club room which was large and comfortable (bed was like sleeping on a cloud) with access to the lounge. Perfect start to our holiday.
