The hotel was in a great location with easy walk to restaurants, lake front, park and gardens to see the free geothermal activity. The free access to washer and dryer were definitely appreciated, as was access to the gym and geothermal pools at the Novotel. The only complaint would be that the room was a bit tight.

Bible has told itself was very nice however during my day that I’d book 2 rooms one for me and my partner and then a double room for my mum and my brother as this was a new vacation when we got there to check in it was 3 o’clock the time I had confirmed that I would be checking in The rooms weren’t available and they checked us into one of the double rooms that was available when we entered the room there was a welcome card for someone who wasn’t us and then two Whitaker slabs which I mean was a very nice later that day we checked into the room that was supposedly for me and my partner we were agreed with no cards or chocolates so it was a bit of a different experience during my stay there there was a fire in the kitchen/buffet area staff could not operate the safety equipment fire extinguisher and they did not know how to handle the situation. I had to help remove the safety pin from the fire extinguisher so that the fire could be put out. This is highly unacceptable in my opinion because what if I wasn’t there and then there was a major fight while I was staying in my hotel room?

Very comfortable bed. Shower regularly changed temperature which was a little annoying and TV channels were not working/glitching. Breakfast was very poor - eggs were inedible. Still better than other hotels/motels in Rotorua
