Booked 3 rooms, furnitures and bathrooms are dated. Acceptable clean rooms and views. Room is dim with insufficient lightings to do reading at night. Big bed but too soft. Nothing impressive for mid range hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel before - the location is good, and the facilities are generally good too, hence our decision to stay here. However, this time we were disappointed. We stayed the night of September 5th. At about 8:30 - 9:00PM, loud music started blasting. At about 10:40PM I called the front desk and was informed that there is a birthday party on the ground floor, going on till midnight. When I said that loud noises should really be over by 10:00PM, the response was "sorry, but it is a birthday." Really? A birthday is a good enough reason to ruin your guests' sleep? We were not informed of this on check-in, and were not offered to stay in another part of the hotel. When a hotel prioritises a party over guests' comfort, something is not right.

Shower was only Luke warm. Aircon sucked it was so hot in the room even tho aircon was on cold it was pumping out warm air. Windows are screwed shut.so although the bed was comfy it was a uncomfortable sleep due to been so hot. Asked the cleaner about the aircon and she said its a lucky dip. If its cold your winning if its not aww well..

Good location, friendly staff. Atlas Restaurant - very nice. Room - Very comfortable bed. The room heating was blowing cold air only; a staff member came and reset the card, but this made no difference, and we had to turn it off. Bare minimum: 2 cups, 2 teaspoons. Had to fill our water jug at Atlas, 5 floors below; wasn't happy about that. We boiled the room water and, once it cooled, put it in the fridge. No ceiling lighting in the room. Good water pressure in the shower; the water temperature was knocked out at times.

We used a 3rd party agency to book an accessible room at the Novotel as my husband is wheelchair dependant. We didn't receive confirmation that such a room was available, and when we arrived on site the woman on reception told us all the accessible rooms were occupied. I explained we would have to go somewhere else if she couldn't help us, and she told me to sit down in reception while she sorted it. In the end it took only minutes before she came to me with access cards for a very pleasant fourth floor room with an accessible bathroom and enough room for the wheelchair to move about easily in the bedroom/lounge area. Throughout our staff all staff were very helpful, the room was comfortable, and the location was fantastic. My husband had not trouble using his wheelchair to access some great eateries and the Thursday night street market.

Checkin was a struggle, admittedly I was early which is very rare. Others were checking yet I had to wait over an hour.

Amazing experience for a 2 nite stay. Room was spacious and clean with good view of the lake. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices. Recommend to stay here.
