Staff were very nice, buffet needed a better hot selection stayed the same for two weeks coffee was poor.

Walked in and booked girls so pleasant especially Naomi ,checked in a couple of days later great service,lovely room,buffet was great a massive improvement on our last visit. A special thanks to Naomi who we again saw on checkout .Overall can not fault anything so thankyou to all staff.

Close to other restaurants which was great as the meals at Atlas were all cold. Appreciated the free upgrade thanks to being a member of Accor.

We booked Novotel based on our previous experience. W have stayed in Novotel in Cardiff and Edinburgh in the UK so didn't think twice about staying at Novotel Rotorua. (We are UK citizens - the UK reservations were made on overseas trips.) We booked 4 nights B&B but were so disappointed with the breakfast that on one morning we went across the street to the PIC NIC cafe where we had a much more enjoyable experience. We also had dinner on our arrival night (24/7/20) in the Novotel - not a memorable experience. Finally, a comment about the bill. We made our original booking directly (so we thought) with Novotel. Our prime minister had told all potential travellers not to book through a travel website because of the big fees they take - she believed that hotels need all the help they can get. Imagine our surprise when we discovered that we had been deducted US$307.13 tax recovery charges and service fees. All up, our 4 nights in the Novotel cost us US$962.93 (equalling NZ$1446) plus cost of dinner. This has been a concern for us - we like our PM but think she's given us bad advice here. [Our booking reference was 32….] We finish by saying that our disappointing experience is not so much to do with our booking as with other aspects of our stay.

The Novotel offers a great location with on site parking, good facilities, clean comfortable rooms, and a great mineral spa. This is accompanied by most welcoming service and delightful buffet meal at the Atlas Restaurant. These factors each contributed to a memorable Wedding Anniversary for my wife and myself last weekend. Thank you.

Very good hotel experience let down by an overpriced and a restaurant that was not up to the Standard of other Novotel’s. Smorgasbord was limited and the only hot vegetables were a vegetable curry. I had roast beef without potatoes or hot vegetables. This cost $49 per person and I will not go again

Nicely located with a short stroll to the town centre and yet quietly tucked away by the lake side. Nice atmosphere around the lobby and bar area. We enjoyed the thermal pool/gym facility a lot. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately there was a party in the room next door on the Friday night...which you did take care of. The next morning there was absolutely no hot water in our unit, and the breakfast in the restaurant was cold. Kirsten on the front desk was fantastic. She arranged to move us for the Saturday night...but moved us into a room that was already occupied! very embarrassing for her, but she rectified it quickly. One night accommodation was comped (the other night was my Stay Free night, and we were told there would be no charge for the cold breakfast.,....but that has since been charged to my credit card. We were given some drink vouchers which was also appreciated. I realise that the hotel was busy, but I have been an advantage plus member for around 15 years and regret to say that I have never experienced such a disappointing stay at an Accor hotel.

Our stay at Novotel Rotorua was absolutely amazing. The staff were very professional and welcoming, the rooms were very comfortable and the spa pools were just perfect. The meals were thoroughly enjoyed by us all. I will have no hesitation to book another stay at Novotel Rotorua. Thank you team for allowing to enjoy such a wonderful experience at your hotel.

The service was shocking ,on arrival no help with bags my wife and daughter and 2 children staff just stared at them ,my wife asked for milk for the room they said only do it at breakfast. asked for adjoining rooms these were not unlocked had to ring ans ask to be opened took over a hour to do so . went down to breakfast no one there had to ask reception if someone could come to restaurant another guest also not happy ,being a club member will not stay here again and looking at not renewing my member ship again .we stay at Sofitel in Wellington every Friday night and to come here to stay in this one was shocking .

Great stay, awesome location and amenities, clean, good food/bar and friendly staff. The receptionist gave my kids a toy each which was a nice touch. Although, Im not one to give negative feedback but at the breakfast buffet, there was a really friendly and smiling Filipino lady who was great at making omelettes and had a clean work station, but another older Maori lady kept on coming out from the back kitchen and having a go at this nice lady. This was in front of guests. Im not too sure what she was saying, but something about 'when she works', and something about her station. She did it 3 times, and looked like work place bullying to me. I needed to let you know, as i forgot to when i was staying. Thanks, Glen
