We had a good stay. The young woman at reception who checked us in was just lovely. Our rooms were adequate but the dinner was a bit disappointing - we ordered pizza, fries and salad - the fries were great, the salad was satisfactory but the pizza was dreadful - hardly any topping and the pizza base was like biting into cardboard. The staff were just gorgeous and helpful but the manager behind the bar was a bit grumpy with them which was a shame. The breakfast in the morning however was delicious. The hotel needs another jolly tidy up - we noticed new carpet which was nice but the rest of the furniture and fittings were quite drab. It’s such a lovely place to stay but quite tired looking tbh - could be so much better.
