We stayed at the Pullman Rotorua just before the New Zealand lock down. With all the restrictions coming into force we were very impressed with all the staff. One person stood out for us and that was Tiiria Edwards who was exceptional. Will be staying again

We got to enjoy 5 nights in this brand new 5 star hotel and we were so impressed. The staff throughout the hotel were attentive and friendly. The restaurant Barrel & Co had the most amazing styling and the cuisine was exceptional. We booked a Delux room with lake views... and that's what we got. A large room with a large bathroom and expansive views towards the lake. Over all I would give this hotel a 9/10. The only things that stopped me giving a 10/10 were the beds and pillows were not as luxury and comfortable as we've experienced in other 5 star hotels, and the room didn't have a desk to work from. Over all the Pullman Rotorua is a high quality hotel that will not disappoint.

A 2 night luxury stay on our travels through NZ - the only non budget stay of our journey. While the stay was somewhat disrupted by the Covid-19 virus, the hotel & staff ensured that we were treated well.

The staff at this Motel would have to be the best I have seen, nothing was too much for them especially in this trying time. The meals at the Barrel & Co were superb especially the lamb rack, had it 3 nights in a room. The rooms are very spacious and have all the modern touches, very quite. The location was also perfect, walking distance to anything you might need. Would highly recommend this accommodation!! Thank you for a fantastic stay.

We had a wonderful stay, the room was amazing! Your staff were helpful. However there was confusion over the additional charge of $30 whch started out around $83.00. The after a staff discussion it went to $30. Another issue was with the restaurant as when it came to paying for both meals, there was a discussion to get it right. Our breakfast charge went from around $130 to $46! I think if there prices on the menus that would have helped. I know you normally have a buffet and couldn't use that, but your staff didn't seem to know what the breakfast options cost. Also, having the TV going in a fine dining restaurant when there was no sport being played seemed distracting. It was a beautiful evening meal though! Overall we had a wonderful stay. We enjoyed our stay albeit it was different because of new regulations coming into force because of Covid19. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and doing their best to implement the new procedures. The room was spacious with great views over the lake. The bed was comfortable and room amenities were as you’d expect from a 5 star hotel.

Due to the virus situation things could not be done as normal. Club lounge was very understocked, but the staff handled it well for just having opened. The bathroom layout we thought was actually not acceptable, not sure if all the rooms have the same set up, but it would put us off staying there again, The toilet has no privacy and the way the shower is set up there is nowhere to get changed. this is fine for a couple but would not want it to be like this if I was travelling with anyone else. Not sure what the designer was thinking. You could not get up in the night and use the bathroom without disturbing each other, the light was an issue here as well.

Came to Rotorua for the races on the Wednesday. Found out when we arrived at hotel that races now a closed event. Left early the next morning so that we could be home in time to watch our horse in the first race. Very nice room, had everything that we required.

Good experience booking the the room but servicevdropped after that. On the 22nd of march I had invited 6 of our wedding guests to join us for breakfast at the Pullman. When trying to see if this was possible I waited at the area of where people were being seated by staff. I stood andcwaired for 5min or so. Staff walked pass looked at me with out even a hello or good morning. So then I went and sat down and waited too see if someone would come to the table etc. Sadly this was the same situation as standing and waiting. Sat for 10min then left. Never I have I ever experienced this poor level of service in an Accor hotel. Bit of a let down on the day after our wedding.

A very modern hotel. Nice big room with a wide view over the lake. Friendly staff. Covid 19 at level 2 - so a difficult time for the hotel but they seemed to handle that well. No complaints.

Disappointed with the style of room no privacy in the bathroom. Room 701 you could see someone sitting on the toilet and hear them too. Lots of problems with breakfast service but this was due to lack of training of staff, cereal no mile, toast , no butter. I did speak with the manager and improvements were seen the following day. The executive deal was disappointing too, minimal wine and limited choice and minimal food, this was rectified after speaking to the food and beverage manager who explained ths circumstances.

A very nice modern new hotel. Perfectly located at the heart of Rotorua. Perfect for walks in the area. Modern bar and restaurant thiugh I only had drinks there. Very very helpful staff. That makes the difference ! I just loved it.

Stayed at the new Pullman Hotel on a business trip. Location in the heart of the CBD was great. Short walk to cafes and restaurants. Check in was great as well as the views over the lake. New hotel and rooms are modern and obviously very clean. Will stay again.

The staff were all great. Welcoming, friendly and professional. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the room was lovely. The little extras in the room really made a difference. The Nespresso, the light up bathroom mirror, the lights behind the bedhead, they were all classy touches. The only downfall was the bed. It was woeful. Hard as a rock with the worst pillows I think I've ever used. My husband and I got very little sleep and had sore necks and backs the next day.

The hotel itself is very nice. The staff were lovely, however I would say the hotel is more of a 4 star and the staff trained to a 3 star level. For instance, the executive lounge, This should never be on the ground floor in my opinion. The views of the lake are amazing and that is what you should be looing at when in an executive lounge. No 5 star hotel I have ever stayed in was the Exec lounge on a ground floor. The 2 hr alcoholic beverages were extremely limited and were 20 minutes late opening. Then there was a further wait for red wine. These are small issue but when you are paying a lot of money and supposedly in a 5 star hotel these should be standard. The toaster caused a fire alarm and to be honest when there's a K Mart toaster being used in an industrial setting then this is what happens. Again not 5 star equipment. I left my car keys several times on an empty desk as there was no one available to hand them to. The staff were extremely nice and very helpful but there didn't seem enough of them. The room was wonderful and the views fantastic, however a booklet of what is on each floor and in the area would be good.
