Good stay, walking distance from the city center

We enjoyed our stay at the Ibis Honfleur very much, breakfast was good, rooms were good and clean, service was very nice. Just one remark: due to covid-19 it is not allowed to provide guests with a menu which meant that upon checking out we were very surprised when it turned out that our bar bill was a lot steeper than expected. OK, we should have checked before ordering wine, I do agree to that, however correct service entails you tell your guest what a glass of wine costs before actually serving it. Especially since guests do not see the wine and price list. If you see that your guest does not know anything about French wine and orders what you suggest to order (at € 11.40 per glass), then this is a serious disappointment after an otherwise perfect stay.

Excellent stay

Team in IBIS are very good and welcoming. I was impressed to the see the way they went out of the way to help me with the charging of my Tesla car. The parking area is quite spacious and the hotel is quite close to the city center.

Staff was super nice but rooms very small and not at the level that I is used to be (looks like a formula 1 or Ibis budget). Also, no restaurant there. Breakfast was good though.

Nobody cleaned or changed the towels for five days. Nobody told me if I needed new towels. They told me because I asked last day what happened about cleanliness, it was for coronovirus but nobody offered me towels before.

Relatively modern hotel only 10 minutes walk from the centre of town. Onsite free car parking, regular Ibis pod rooms. American themed restaurant and a Lidl supermarket right opposite the hotel. Easy access on the main route in to town.

Always stay at this hotel on our journeys to and from UK. Great hotel, well situated. Staff are friendly and helpful. The Introduction of a dog friendly section of the restaurant has been brilliant and means we can eat at the hotel and the dog can join us.
