Our fourth stay at this well situated hotel in the delightful town of Honfleur. Brilliant staff on reception, large well equipped rooms, good breakfast and plenty of private enclosed parking.

Briliant Place, Nice Hotel, Good Staff

I had checked us in online, so when we arrived we were presented with our room-key and informed of the breakfast arrangements. I had a parking-space (disabled) right in front of the hotel - so access was very easy for my mobility-impaired wife. The room was ready and waiting for me. Instructions on the operation of the air-conditioning would have been welcome, but we did manage to work it out. The room was clean and tidy and well-maintained. we had no problems at all. The Breakfast was very extensive and replenished to a good level at 9:00 a.m. when we came down. All in all a good experience. We will be back in Honfleur, Mercure!

Looking at hotels in Honfleur, we decided to stay at the Mercury having used them elsewhere around Europe. Not impressed with the parking charges, not impressed with the attitude of one of the staff. Food ok. We were looking for a hotel to bring a group of 80 people to next April. Sorry we will not be visiting the Mercury Honfleur again.

Pros:- Good location with easy walk to old town. Parking is excellent and reasonably priced. All the staff were professional and helpful. We were allowed early checkin. The hotel has nice decor. Excellent and easy to control heating and cooling. Great water pressure for the shower. Very comfortable and big bed with wonderful duvet. The internet was fast and reliable. Freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast. Has a lift to upper floors. Very good cleaning staff. Cons:- Coffee machine at breakfast was a bit ordinary (we have seen far better machines in our travels). I liked the pillows but they were a bit high for my wife (personal choices so not an issue). Could use some English TV channels. The room was a bit small for a Privileged Mercure room.
