The room was not cleaned properly. There was a bottle of water belonged to someone else (reusable water bottle) in the fridge providing evidence that cleaning was superficial.

Bath and shower were had not been cleaned. Yellow staining on the tile grout and black mould on white sealant around tap and bath. Shower leaked through the hinge of glass screen causing flooding across the floor. The air conditioning did not reach the set temperature and was therefore on all night. Bar drinks were expensive and made worse by a 10% Sunday surcharge which could not be explained. Complaint made to manager who did record complaints and apologised. This was not the expected Novotel standard.

The Novotel Sydney is conveniently located to the airport and the service is outstanding! The breakfast buffet was beyond expectations and even had choices for my gluten-free and dairy-free daughter. Only reason it wasn't a 10 was the walls are thin and there was a noisy family next to us but other than that it was perfect for our overnight needs for an early flight to the airport!

Excellent stay . Very quiet. Unfortunately no breakfast options available for an early flight the next day
