The hotel has some positives, particularly the location, the professionalism of most staff and the way management stepped in to resolve issues such as offering late check-out. However, the overall experience was significantly impacted by major operational and comfort issues. The most serious concern is soundproofing, or to be better put the complete lack of it whatsoever. Noise from neighboring rooms, the hallway, doors slamming, and outside are audible at all times of day and night. As a Platinum Accor All member staying more than 30 nights per year in hotels, this level of noise transfer is highly unusual and unacceptable for any branded hotel of the group. My partner also worked in hotel management, and we have both never experienced this level of poor acoustic isolation in a modern hotel setting, which clearly indicates a construction issue as the comments mentioning this problem go back many years. In addition, there were repeated service and system issues: parking pricing lacked clarity and required escalation to confirm, and although breakfast was added to the booking during check-in, it was not reflected in the system on either day, causing avoidable confusion each morning. Room upgrade was not available due to capacity, which is understandable, but combined with the above issues, the stay felt disorganised and inconsistent in execution. While staff were generally helpful, the recurring administrative errors and the severe soundproofing problem significantly impacted the overall experience.

Was all good. The only negative things were the towels (too small), the bedroom key always getting disconnected and the tea cups / pot that was never collected. The rest was fine.

We have stayed in this hotel numerous times over the years and always found the experience good, however this time the evening duty manager was less than pleasant and totally disinterested in the problem with the key cards we had. We returned from being out a couple of hours to find that we could not open our room door, we are elderly and had to walk all the way back to the lift down to reception where the manager didn’t greet us he just said “key cards have been updated today” no apology just took our key cards, reprogrammed them and handed them back. We did complain to him that this had been a huge inconvenience, his response was “well it wasn’t that bad, just relax”! A receptionist was standing near by who heard this manager whom in our opinion is in the wrong job!

The hotel is located near the historical district and an easy walk to the beach area. Very convenient, offers parking and the staff was helpful and welcoming.
