We recently stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and unfortunately left feeling very disappointed and tired. On arrival, our room was “upgraded” to a room with two double beds. While we appreciated the gesture, the room had an adjoining internal door to the neighbouring room. There was a noticeable air gap under the door, offering little to no soundproofing. From 3am to 5am we were kept awake by a crying baby in the adjoining room. We understand that babies cry and this is no fault of the family next door, however the poor sound insulation made it difficult to sleep. When I mentioned this to reception at check-out, the response lacked any genuine concern or attempt to acknowledge the impact on our stay. The lack of soundproofing and the dismissive response from staff left us feeling that our experience simply didn’t matter.

An extremely disappointing experience. There were roadworks continuing until 10:30pm on my first night, resuming again at 4:30am the following morning, followed by a party in the event space next to my room the next evening.
