Breakfast view service and food was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. The boiler house food was average and not a lot of choice. The manager was rude and rushed both days. Only had time for those eating a la carte. Very disappointed in the service. Both at lunch and dinner both days. Would not recommend it. Ghost tour was fun and the guide great. Accommodation - rooms were very humid and hot, need fans above the bed, not over the fridge or air con. Otherwise clean and comfortable. Parking is unfair, seems some poeople are allowed cars, while others aren’t. Yet there were many cars driving past P21. Should he a blanket rule, no cars for all. The shuttle service was fantastic. Overall a positive stay, except for boiler house and the lack of fans/aircon.

I had to stay for a work trip - it's not the kind of place I would have chosen on my own. The conference room was quite a distance from the rooms as is reception. It is helpful that there is a shuttle available 24/7 to take people around the premises - however, for a work event, the extra time it took to deal with this (or have to set aside 10-20mins to walk) was not ideal given the schedules we had (and it was very dark at night so very creepy to try and get around the premises). Lunch at the "Views" was quite average and there was nowhere to buy snacks, coffee or other food which was quite inconvenient. There is no barista coffee available either.

Perfect combination of national park and luxury rooms!

Myself and my three adult children have different interests. I love being outdoors, they prefer comfort and some good shopping plus a bit of outdoors. So it’s a perfect compromise to stay somewhere so peaceful yet so close to such a lovely main centre as Manly. It’s also perfect as we live in Sydney, my youngest has a disunity so we cannot travel too far if we want a restful holiday.

We were a group of four families staying in the 4 x cottages. The proximity of the Q Station to such beautiful beaches and walks is great. The cottages are very clean and have basic facilities in which to cook your own meals (if wanted). We had a wonderful stay :)

Great place to stay in historic beautiful bush setting

We love the QStation and have stayed many times over the last 10 years. It has a charm like no other place. It’s a shame that breakfast this time in the Boilerhouse was chaotic and the food wasn’t good. We waited 50 minutes for our breakfast. Toast wasn’t toast but bread put under a flame grill for a few seconds. My order for the bread to be toasted wasn’t. Scrambled eggs were delivered as poached. The wait staff were young and sweet but overwhelmed with no room for deviation of orders.

We were there for a work conference, when we arrived at appox 4pm nothing was open, we couldn't get any food or drink. The coffee machine didn't work in either the Breakfast room or the conference room The food was ordinary. The service was poor.

Good Morning Firstly let me express that we enjoyed our stay in cottage S15 enormously as we spent time with our daughter, son in law and a new little granddaughter. The weather was spectacular which allowed us to take advantage of the beach and water sports provided. The ghost tour was an adventure and our gentleman guide was great and interactive. We were disappointed that we were not able to use any of our Accor membership on accommodation or food which became quite expensive and a surcharge of $77 for dinning was excessive. The food was amazing. The cottage was not cleaned properly and we had to ask for the bins to be emptied and more toilet paper and the balcony was extremely dirty. I asked 2 times for the balcony to be cleaned which was not done. We could not sit out there with the baby as cobwebs, spiders, insects and dirt were not suitable and a shame as the view was spectacular. It is an amazing place and if the above challenges could be rectified it will be beneficial for future guests. Kindest regards Vittoria and Family.04…

Cleaning was forgotten

1dave1969 16/03/2021 TripAdvisor review

As an Accor member this was the worst room ever. Stayed here previously and have enjoyed. The place was filthy. Stains huge on sheets, mould all over shower and curtain, spiders webs. It was unexceptionable really, I wonder what Accor would think? Will make me re think my membership. No welcome gift. 1 bottle of water for 2 days. Boiler house was the savor of this trip. I have photos to prove.

Hi 1dave1969, Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, but it deeply saddens us to hear about your experience staying at our hotel. It sounds like some sort of error has occurred with the Housekeeping department that your room was not properly cleaned or serviced during your stay with us. We would like to know more about your experience so that we can make sure that this never happens to another one of our valued guests. If you would like to get in contact, please email h8773-re3@accor.com so that we can get to the bottom of this issue. I sincerely apologise for the cleanliness standard you received while staying with us. Your room should have been absolutely spotless for you to check in, and the room should have been serviced daily during your stay. The experience you describe does not meet the general standard we aim to provide, and for that we are truly sorry. We look forward to hearing more from you about this issue so that we can reach a resolution, and learn from the experience so that it does not happen to another guest. Kind regards, Lachlan - Marketing Coordinator

Southborolass 14/03/2021 TripAdvisor review

we took the opportunity to "run away" for two days to this hotel. It is close to Sydney but it feels a million miles away from anywhere given its bush setting. We stayed in a deluxe suite ( having been upgraded from a Heritage Suite). Very pleasant stay. We did have couple of glitches but these were dealt with efficiently by the staff on site and our feedback was taken on check out. Bed was comfortable. Room well appointed and the long shared balcony provided the right place to sit and watch the water and get to know the resident bush turkeys. It is the sort of place you need to be prepared to walk to see the full site but there is a bus service that will take you to and from the beach or restaurant. the hotel was not up to its full occupancy and not all amenities are available due to COVID but we would certainly consider returning. We swam and snorkelled from the private beach. We chose not to leave the hotel area for the two days but it is not far to Manly for those who want to venture further afield. The Bolier house restaurant offered a good menu - prices reflected hotel prices the world over- a little higher than an outside restaurant for dinner but on par for breakfast. Food was good.

Hello Southborolass, Thanks for taking the time to award us with 4 stars and leave some amazing feedback. It's so great to hear that you enjoyed the property so much that you didn't leave for two days! I'm glad to hear that you found the rooms to be clean and comfortable, our staff to be efficient and helpful, and that you enjoyed the dinner and breakfast menu at the Boilerhouse Kitchen. Although some of our amenities are not open due to COVID, I hope you had a chance to enjoy the peace and quiet of the National Park, including swimming in the relaxing waters of Quarantine Beach. We hope you have a chance to visit again soon with friends and family, Kind regards, Lachlan - Marketing Coordinator

Fantastic location for a romantic weekend away with that special person. The Boiler room restaurant was just brilliant and the food was excellent with great service from the wait staff. All ready planning our next visit.

We stayed at the Q-Station over the VDay weekend. It was a very peaceful and relaxing setting providing great walks and a private beach. Staff were very helpful at all times and we had an excellent time. I was a little surprised at the lack of Aircon - I am sure it was mentioned, but didn't note it. Thankfully the temperatures were mild, so the fans sufficed. We have stayed here before and probably will stay here again.

Hello 635ravi, Its so great to hear that you had a peaceful and relaxing stay with us over the Valentines Day weekend. I hope you joined our live music session on the hospital headland! Its great to hear that you made the most of our private beach, and enjoyed the walks around the site and around the national park. We look forward to welcoming you back to Q Station, Kind regards, Lachlan Marketing Coordinator

Yesfor2 01/02/2021 TripAdvisor review

This was our 5th stay at the hotel, an amazing place to stay, fantastic views of the harbour from our room, the staff are pleasant to deal with. Breakfast was expensive $30 each person per day, no Accor discount the food was cold and uninviting. The boiler house restaurant does not serve breakfast, maybe it should? Their food is of a high standard, they need to increase their menu, maybe add some junk food like burgers inside the restaurant not in the casual dining area?

Hi Yesfor2, Thanks for awarding Q Station with a four star review. Its so great to hear that you find Q Station a fantastic location and frequently stay at our hotel. It's also great to hear that you experienced a high level of service from our stay during your stay. Thank you for your feedback about our breakfast service and Boilerhouse dining. We have actually just started offering breakfast from the Boilerhouse Kitchen & Bar to accommodation guests, with the same high level of food standard and service that you would be used to receiving during dinner. We hope you have a chance to visit again soon and try out the Boilerhouse breakfast! Kind regards, Lachlan

Q Station is a favourite, does not take too long to get to, once there you have a beach, cafe, bar and restaurant and views over Sydney Harbour. If you need to leave Q Station you can walk into Manly or just catch the bus which is just outside the main gates

Hi Scott, Thanks for taking the time to award Q Station with a five star review! We like to think that our hotel is "a world away without leaving home". Right in the heart of Manly CBD, but on a National Park with views from all around the property, giving it a very rural and relaxed feel. We hope you have a chance to come visit us again soon! The rooms were great, plenty of space to move and the verandah overlooking Sydney Harbour is perfect to sit around with friends. We had a group of 16 and all fitted comfortably on the verandah for afternoon drinks. The walks are great and the ghost tour is a must. All the staff were so friendly and could not have been more helpful. The food from the Boilerhouse restaurant and the Engine Room bar was great. Very impressed with the young man who served 16 of us for breakfast. Sorry i didn’t get his name.
