I spent three nights at the Q station and it was all I had hoped and more. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The shuttle system worked perfectly. The food was very good and the room was comfortable- I slept so well! I loved the spaces to sit out and enjoyed the beach - a true vacation spot!

Unfortunately we stayed on a very hot day and when we arrived there was no parking available. We sat in the car and waited for approx 20 minutes for a spot and the other guest in our group was directed to the overflow carpark with 5 people in the car/luggage. It took a while to check in and we needed to assign guest names to each room (there were 9 guests/5 rooms), fill out forms for each room etc which was very time consuming especially when most of these details (including room allocations) had already been provided when booking on booking.com. It took almost an hour and 2 phone calls from my sister in law before they were picked up from the overflow carpark. The rooms were very hot as no air conditioning is available and the fridge in our room was not plugged in so took a while to cool down. The locks on the doors are not a good design as it is very easy to lock yourself out of the room. My nephew accidentally shut the door when we were sitting out on the balcony. locking the key in the room. My sister in law called reception and again it took almost an hour for someone to come and unlock the door- apparently they forgot. The historic and unique accommodation/location was wonderful but I think things could be done to improve comfort of guests and to address the issues with the courtesy buses/ room keys. Also perhaps on hot days, chilled water could be provided to guests in their room fridges.

Enjoyable time …check in smooth …stayed in Heritage Suite room spacious & clean …beds average & hot .. 2 balconies front & back of room …well located within grounds close to all amenities…Restaurant & Cafe serving good choice of meals & beverages …Beach small & clean …would love to be able to hire umbrellas or chairs for beachfront
