Dear Georgie, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your stay was affected by multiple disruptions and that you left feeling disappointed. We appreciate your kind words about our staff, especially our night security guard. We are pleased to hear that his assistance and efforts were helpful during what was understandably a very frustrating experience. We sincerely apologise for the disturbance caused by the noise from the neighbouring room and, in particular, the smoke alarm beeping during the early hours of the morning. We understand how disruptive this would have been, especially after already being woken during the night. The smoke alarm issue should have been identified and addressed before your arrival, and we apologise that this impacted your stay. We also appreciate your comments regarding the room soundproofing and will continue to look at ways we can improve guest comfort while respecting the character and requirements of our heritage property. It is disappointing to hear that your experience did not reflect the beautiful surroundings and the service we aim to provide. We value your feedback and will use it to improve our processes.
