Beautiful location but disappointing stay.

Anniversary celebration Romantic package - Check in, disorganised, our room key couldn’t be found and we had to wait 1/2 hr in reception. Bottle of sparkling was warm. Our room was ok, no air conditioning and one tiny window, it was stifling hot during the night to the point where we couldn’t sleep. The restaurant was busy and our table was not ready for our booking, again we waited. The waitress walked us to our table whilst on her mobile phone and dropped the menus on the table and walked away. Meal was nice but waited 40 min for dessert. Breakfast was very average and felt like we were at a school camp, again staff were not friendly or happy. Courtesy buses drive extremely fast around the property and one nearly run us over in the morning, we had to jump off the road into the bush. The driver thought it was funny!!

Relaxing with a great view

We only stayed one night. It wasn’t long enough so we will have to return. Sitting out on the verandah with a light breeze and just relaxing was great. The shuttle was well appreciated, always with cheerful drivers and quick to arrive. The reception staff were cheerful, friendly and informative.

We booked in advance only to find out via email that there was a private booking of the hotel which meant that there were multiple areas unable to be accessed. We had an email sent on the Friday before our Monday stay but unfortunately this email ended up in spam folder and was not seen until Monday. Regardless Friday would have been short notice if we had wanted to find alternate accomodation option, we would had appreciated being notified earlier and given the option. We also asked about the shuttle service from the hotel to manly - as there were no complimentary shuttles between 10… we were advised the cost would be $80 one way for what would be a 10 min trip we felt this was quite costly and found another service which was $85 from the hotel to cbd around 35-40 min trip. We were advised when checking out that we had been given a complimentary upgrade of our room when i asked about the booking, i had initially thought i had booked the incorrect room myself. The room we were given was much larger and looked to be able to accomodate 6 but as there was only two of us the benefit was minimal and i believe our original booking the room had an ensuite to the main bedroom the upgrade did not which meant walking out of our room down the hallway.

Beautiful location, terrible sleep

With the heat during the day and minimal ability to get fresh air in the room at night, it was very difficult to sleep. Air conditioning would have made it a much more comfortable experience. Some challenges with the group booking as well and lack of responsiveness and communication.

We had an off-site meeting at the Q-station. I didn't know what to expect, but I was delighted by the facility and its surroundings. The meeting facility room was good, with consistent wifi. However, it would be good to know ahead about the extra charge if we were to stay in the meeting room.
