Our stay at Q Station was punctuated with regular changes in the rules about personal contact because of the Covid 19 virus. Fortunately the accommodation is well separated and this made life easier. The staff were excellent. under very difficult circumstances they managed the constant changes with good grace and made us very comfortable. OUTSTANDING effort by the Q Station staff.

The room could of been cleaner. Coffee table was dirty and rubbish on the floor of the previous people. Dinner at the Boiler House was very disappointing as the noise level from a group of young people who were there for a conference was unbearable. Also breakfast was the same with the young people there again. Thank goodness we left when we did as the conference was in the room just over from our room. Also why do people have to slam there room doors when coming and going.

UNPLEASANT: 1. I was most disappointed with the room allocated on P1 Room A1 as it not only had no views whatsoever, worse the front door opened directly on a walkway which was like "Pitt St" at one stage and due to the heat of the day we had to have the door open so that anyone walking past had full view of the inside bedroom and therefore we had no privacy. 2. The Television did not work: maintenance repair person had to come to switch it on, He's english was so poor we could not understand a word, however he got it going and assured us in his poor english that the problem would not occur again, however the next morning the television again would not come on. 3. The burgundy armchair in the room was so filthy I could not sit in it. PLEASANT: 1.We did find the transportation in the Minivans convenient and quite good with friendly staff/drivers. 2.Breakfast was good too. 3.We did enjoy the "Ghost Tour" with Brandon. CONCLUSION: Overall we could have had a far better experience had we been given a less trafficked room with a better view of at least one small piece of our beautiful harbour. We booked directly by telephone to someone called Casper.

Courtesy drivers were wonderful! especially the woman on night shift!! A bit of a downfall was wait times were quite long at times, and once we had to call again after 20 minutes.

We enjoyed our stay, the breakfast was plentiful and offered plenty of variety. We did a history tour of the precinct on a wet windy afternoon which was great. We had a wonderful view from our balcony. The room was okay with an ensuite which was big. We had a swim which was wonderful and that stairway was a great workout! We had coffee at the café and looked around the visitor centre area which was lovely.

its a great place, but run down. invest in this place and it will stay current, i wouldnt pay 220 per night. Staff are okay, some amazing, some really rude.

You should have told me how much for a better room Room with a veiw would have been better Mattress could have been a bit softer

We visited on a Luxury Escapes Package deal. A week prior to our arrival date my partner phoned The Boilerhouse Restaurant to make a reservation for Dinner. She had heard that the Restaurant was situated upstairs and the restrooms downstairs. She advised Cassandra who took our booking that I have major mobility issues and a bladder problem and would appreciate being seated in the lower deck area. She was told that as this area is usually reserved for Conference attendees in order to help her she would add it on the booking as a special request but couldn’t guarantee it. On the night of our dinner we checked in at the counter and were greeted by a very aggressive "Robyn". She told us we would be seated upstairs. I might add I use a walking stick and was standing right in front of Robyn so it was very obvious that the stairs were going to present a problem for me. My partner informed her she had discussed my predicament with "Cassandra" previously and she had said was it possible to seat us downstairs when we arrived. "Robyn" was very rude and abruptly informed us that there was no special request or notation on the booking system and we would have to be upstairs if we wanted to eat there that nights at all. I feel Robyn handled this situation very poorly and unprofessionally it should have been transparent if a colleague had failed to do what they had told a customer they would do. I informed Robyn that was Cassandra’s problem and we need downstairs seating. Robyn very rudely talked over the top of me and reluctantly informed me she would set up a table outside on the lower deck for us. There were other tables out there as well so quite frankly I don’t see what the problem was. All the unpleasantness could have been avoided if Robyn had initially showed empathy and consideration in regards to my situation. Apart from this unfortunate incident we really enjoyed our stay at Q Station. Our encounters with staff at Reception, the drivers of the shuttles and the lovely Kat at the Visitors Centre Cafe were very pleasant. Our accommodation was lovely and we enjoyed the serenity and the peaceful surrounds very much. It's a shame it only takes one person to ruin an beautiful couple of days away - and subsequently (perhaps) influence thoughts on returning! It is just disappointing that our visit was marred by our experience at the Restaurant.

We loved learning about the history of Q station. The room was very nice, but could have contained a small safe. The whole property very nice and interesting. The boiler room restaurant was fair with staff not as friendly as the rest of the property. The food was again only fair with not much variety. Front office staff lovely and very helpful

The location on north head is quite spectacular. The views are fantastic but not necessarily from your room. Rooms are nice but not big and be mindful you can hear your neighbours . The history of the place is what is interesting . It is a bitvisolated if you want to get down to Manly at night and don’t want to drive . You need to Uber or taxi for sbout$12.
