Wasn't value for Money, The pool area had a swimming lesson in so half the pool so i was unable to use it. Carpets in my room had stains on. In the bathroom, i had a shower and the bath also had a shower, makes no sense and i didn't have any towels in my room

The parking available near the hotel is limited but we got an overnight pass validated for the nearby broad Street mall parking for £7 which is great. The room was fairly hot with the thermostat turned right down. Otherwise all was fine. Used the pool twice. Beds were comfortable

Stayed here with my 2 adult daughters. Initially the room wasnt quite big enough for the 3 of us so we upgraded to an Exec room on the 10th. Marissa on the front desk was wonderful and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay.

Good points: very clean, well located, nice foyer, baths & fridges in rooms, quiet room, decent size rooms, nice toiletries, spa and swimming pool, staff generally (although also see other points). Bad points: room too warm and difficult to cool, too many broken things (kettle didn't self cancel, bath could only be filled with shower head, bath and basin controls fell off), hand wash was empty on arrival and not filled during housekeeping visit, tea and coffee not replenished during housekeeping visit. Other points: staff distracted on initial welcome (so initial impression was poor), rooms & corridors & lifts felt worn, room a very odd layout - toilet so far from basin not great, filtered water only available from reception - not sure of reason for not including in the fridge on arrival but annoying to get to 13th floor to find out you have to go back to reception! Overall, a decent stay, particularly for the price, but the small issues really detracted from the experience. A little maintenance and a closer eye on the detail needed. Would stay again at the right price.

Turned up on Saturday evening desperately needing somewhere to stay overnight as the last train back home for the evening had been cancelled by GWR. The receptionist was very understanding and was able to book me in. Comfortable stay overnight, showed and breakfast in the morning and caught early morning train back. Saved my bacon literally
