We have stayed at this hotel often as so close to my parents flat and so handy to transport. However this time the standard had dropped significantly. We didn’t get the room we requested as 2 floors were under refurbishment but no discount or apology were offered. We paid extra for upgraded room too. We had to bring it to their attention that we wanted a double bed and settee and got extra single bed instead of settee which is of no use when you stop several days and want a seating area. The solution they offered was to take a seat from restaurant up to your room!! Room was very small, the shower was tepid/cold every day, no hand towel so you need use you main towel. A new hotel has opened just up the room Brit Hotel which is exactly opposite the tram stop; they should think about the competition! The breakfast however was great. We will certainly look elsewhere next time.

Didn't have hot water in morning even after waiting for 5 min in the shower. Otherwise checkin, room was ok

Staff at arrival not kind. Entry hall was dirty. It was cold in the hotel! Room was extremely cold and heating did not work. Bed linnen far too thin. No hot water at sink. Water in shower ok. Sink was stoppered (hair plug!). Parking extremely dusty. Expensive hotel for low quality. Never again...
