The hotel is by the sea with great view and a few minutes away from the city center and other attractions. The staff is friendly, professional and always ready to suggest the best options to the guest. The breakfast is great and the relation price/quality is fair. I strongly recommend the hotel.

1. My 250$ winter jacket wos stolen from room and i was going back to Europe (we have winter now) without jacket. 2. Breakfast are quite good but scrambled eggs is good only 1 time, once eggs was cold and once dry. 3. There were large brown stains on the bed mattress under the sheets. Even dont wanna know what was that. I allways making video when entering hotel room first time so I'll make later opinion with photos and videos on youtube about room kondition. 4. Room was cleaned every day but in my opinion is beter to leave hanger dont disturb , to avoid loosing your things. 5. Hotel crew is very nice and polite (asspecialy receptionists) and in my opinion thats why i can give 2 not 1. 6. If anyone like to ask about details You can kontakt me at wi… .

As a regular visitor of the city, I always choose Ibis Montevideo. The staff is quite friendly, hepful and professional. The breakfast room with a nice view of the river is pleasant at any time of the year. I feel at home there!

All of the people (personnel) that have worked there over the years are absolutely reliable and do their utmost best to take care of guests and their necessities, the newer ones are quickly picking up the right pace; Matías and Ariel (Front Desk), setting an excellent example, and the Mgr Mr. Delfino, is really on top of things. At the restaurant, dinner in the evenings, waiter seems to drag his feet, a little as if "doing you a favor".

Absolutely Disgusting Smell of Dog for Entire Stay

We were assigned room #101. The tenant in room #100, who we were informed had been occupying the room for approximately six (6) months, had a dog staying with him in the room. Upon vacating the room, the smell was absolutely disgusting and the odor enveloped the entire hallway. In addition, there was dog hair everywhere in the hallway. I understand that management can not be held responsible for an occupants mess. However, one identified the room and hallway should have been IMMEDIATELY cleaned and disinfected by housekeeping, or in this case, by a professional cleaning service. Instead, absolutely NO cleaning was done during our entire stay and the door of room #100 was left completely open creating an absolutely nauseating and disgusting smell.

Location is actually good, in front of the sea. But no view. Rooms are bigger than an usual IBIS room. Very new and nice bathroom. Cleaning depends on who cleans the room. One day it was super clean, the other day very dirty. Breakfast is very nice, with vegtables and fresh fruit. The reception personal at day time are not freindly at all and don not speak english. We asked abut the tax, if they reduce the tax for breakfast, they totaly ignored us.

The staying was great, the room was confortable and clean but the food wasnt nice. The breakfast was the only good thing, the rest, lunchs, dinners they were not well prepared and didnt taste good. I would say amateur food quality, is something you would eat on the go, not to sit and enjoy.Something woth mentioning is that i had one bad night as i was feeling cold and the heater wouldnt work.Then in the morning i woke up upset and told the manager about it and that i wasnt having a good experience in Uruguay as everybody would tell me i would, and he said, well, dont believe in everybody :/ He didnt offer to take a look or fix anything, thx god the following nights would be hot! :)

The hotel has a very good infra-structure. I received a large room, with a very cozy bed and a nice bathroom. The room was a quiet one and provided me a very good sleep quality. The breakfast is nice, but nothing fancy. The restaurant opens for lunch and dinner, which is quite handy, since it is a bit far from downtown. There are some restaurants in the vicinity and they are nice. There is a supermarket near the hotel too. Depending on the guest, it might bother to be a bit far from downtown. It takes between 20 to 25 minutes to walk to 18 de Julio. Nonetheless, there are bus stops which can take you very quickly to the Plaza Independencia and the Ciudadela. There are also buses to Pocitos. The staff was very helpful. My only advice is to go to Montevideo un the summer. During fall it is very windy and it rains a lot.

Room comfortable and clean, good breakfast, beautiful sights to see near the hotel. It seems there is a building being constructed in front the hotel. There is some noise during the day but it was not a problem since we did not stay in the hotel during this period. At night, a very comfortable stay there.

typical "Ibis" rooms (but with sea views), service and ambience - and extremely good value! Very peaceful location excellent for the Ramblas and not too far from the old centre. A nice compromise in my view.
