Had a really good stay at Ibis Ellerslie. All the stay were lovely and Abi on reception was very friendly when I arrived. Lovely bar and restaurant. Just had some chips and drinks. Had breakfast which was extensive great choice of fruits, cooked breakfasts. Pastries, lots of different breads.

The bed had pure white crisp sheets and pillows. No dodgy bedspreads. Used room service both nights for dinner & deserts. Food arrived within 30minutes. Excellent cuisine. 24 hr desk. Carparking cost around $23/ night. It was very full, so I used ubers rather than return to no parking spot. House keeping were helpful, sourced me more milk and coffee. Really enjoyed my stay and will visit again.

Checkin was easy. The room was very small and a step up to the bathroom which was difficult to negotiate in the middle of the night. Breakfast wasn't good. I chose hot items, the bacon was awful - hard like cardboard and the beans weren't beans they were chickpeas. Other than that the place was clean and comfortable for the price.

The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. All the staff there are friendly and very helpful . I had an expectation that before I checked in it was going to be a very budget hotel with limited service etc. But the staff were first class and we had a great weekend. I will definitely stay here again.

everything was great except the breakfast was slightly disappointing. it would be great to have other egg options other than scrambled and hard boiled. maybe some poached or offering to cook peoples eggs fresh as ordered? as someone who mainly eats just protein - there wasn't a lot of offerings. Staff were great tho, and the chicken tenders at the bar - so good!
