We had a 2 night stay while visiting daughters at ANU. This hotel is well located, clean, with nice rooms. We didn't eat in the hotel, or use many of the facilities, but found the staff helpful, and everything well looked after. We will definitely stay again.

This trip was a mixed bag. Location is great but street parking is a lottery and parking onsite and quite expensive ($35 a night). Room was fine but the bathroom arrangement is a bit strange. I asked for a tax invoice when checking out but the printer wasn't working. I was promised that it would be emailed to me but I was only sent a tax invoice for a drink that I didn't pay for (this is due to be credited). I rang 3 times trying to get the room tax invoice to be sent through and when I finally got through I was told that the corporate card hadn't been charged yet. Very frustrating.

Thank you for staying with us at Novotel Canberra and for taking the time to share your feedback, Tony. I am pleased to hear you enjoyed our central location and found your room comfortable overall, however I am sorry that several aspects of your stay left you frustrated. I do appreciate your comments regarding parking. As we are located in the centre of Canberra, onsite parking is limited and priced in line with other CBD hotels. We do also offer overflow parking options nearby, including offsite parking approximately a 4–5 minute walk from the hotel at around $26 for 24 hours, which many guests find to be a more economical alternative. I am also sorry for the inconvenience surrounding your tax invoice and the confusion regarding the incorrect charge notification. You should not have needed to follow up multiple times, and I understand how frustrating that experience would have been. The issue with the printer and the delay in processing the corporate card should have been communicated more clearly and handled more efficiently by our team. Thank you again for your feedback as it helps us identify where we need to improve both our communication and operational follow-up.
