Corridors weee not very clean and the elevator looks from a scary movie very slow and with a replacement door completely not looking good

Had an unpleasent experience when the attendant behind the counter told me and my wife sitting in the lounge-area it was Not alloved to bring with us a bottle of still-water and a bottle of root-beer (Both Non-alcoholic) she said it was IBIS' policy. -I need you to send me a copy of this IF it is the case! -The small area in the reception I would consider a "common-area" for paying guests and there should be NO problem with bringing own water & or other Non-alcoholic beverages. Same attendant also had an encounter with 2 other guest where they didn't get the room they had ordered & paid for...She told them they could get a free drink as compensation but did not tell them this would be softdrinks/beer but not spirits.. Bad communication as info should be given -in Full. Guests was naturally upset and left the lounge-area in anger. Correct info to guests is Ibis' staff sole responsibilities as the professional part) -In case the attendant was in training-it is Not her fault as training supervisor should have pointed this out to her before she was let loose on the guests....

Located about 20 mins from middle of the centre of Lubeck and easy to access arriving by car. Clean, good breakfast and, in general, serviceminded staff. The room faced a busy street, which disturbed the night rest and perhaps these rooms could be better sound proofed.
