The staff was overly confused by the idea that I wanted to pay for a second person in my room (I had prepaid for three single rooms and wanted to change one of them to double occupancy). They were trying to cancel one of the rooms and seemed really bewildered. It didn't help that they had book all thee rooms in the name of one of my guests which made it difficult to find my reservation despite me giving the number which I received per email and also could confirm in the app. It took three people to understand that I was offering them more money to have my husband join me. The waiter at the bar was also incredibly slow and confused refusing another guest a gin and tonic because she didn't know how to make it. However, the room was clean and breakfast fine so we had a good stay despite the things mentioned above. Lübeck city center (Altstadt) is within walking distance, and there is plenty of parking both under and above the ground.

.. friendly and well prepared night porter (arrival at +- 01.40 a.m.) .. room this on the silent side - meaning not on the side with noisy machines on your flat roof .. friendly receptionist in the morning as well
