Really only met the bar man!

We particularly regret the confusion regarding the gluten-free labeling as well as the service experiences you described. This does not meet our standards, and we take your comments very seriously. The points you raised regarding signage, the elevator in the parking area, and the wayfinding around the hotel are also valuable feedback that we will immediately share internally and review. Front Staff 1. I had to fill out all my stay details again – should have been provided with my tool that i have used for a 100+ hotels before without that problem 2. Messed up room number 2 times even after showing them them the hotel card with the room number on it 3. I wanted to use my accor dining and spa rewards with the hotel which mercure koblenc should accept according to the official accor homepage. The front staff (male, always sitting on a table while the female staff was in the front) did tell me that Mercure Koblenz WAS NOT PART of the accor group but belonged to another hospitality group which name he did not know, that is why he could not accept the voucher and i had to pay 20 Euro instead of using my vouchers 4. Bartender was good (guy with a beard) Room 1. Room had a foul smell, got better after turning on ac for hours 2. Quite a lot of noisy neighbours on my floor 3. Strange noise in the room that turned on periodically even after turning everything off – NO room amenities provided except ear plugs 4. One of my devices dropped the wifi every 3rd minute, had to log in all the time (never had happend before in 100+ hotels. Other devices were fine) 5. Turned on tv and it was LOUD by default

Good quality hotel with friendly helpful staff. Very clean and great location. Would have been good to know that restaurant was closed for a group the second night - we were also told that even a salad in the bar was at least an hour's wait, and not helped with the question as to where was the best place to walk to a restaurant with the answer - any direction for 10 minutes - it's a city! The next night we were offered the group buffet for a fixed price, but ate in the bar and the staff were friendly and good BUT the chef kept making an appearance in the bar and shouting and telling off the bar staff about things in front of all their colleagues AND customers (at least 4 times). His behaviour was unacceptable and disrespectful to everyone who witnessed it. You also should have told me that on opening my curtains at 8am on the 29th May after a first night's sleep there would be two men in a cherry picker literally looking at me outside my second floor window (after a lot of noise woke me up). We complained and were given a complimentary drink but should have just been told this was likely to happen. I would go back and wanted to consider the hotel for my groups, but the chef's behaviour worried me.
