Was overcharged for the deposit at check in, and have still not had anyone contact me regarding rectification

Lovely stay. Nice room and service. However, several disappointing things, 1. I chose the Sofitel primarily to experience the restaurant. Unfortunately, it was fully booked for a private function. 2. The Lounge was noisy with maintenance works. I went to read and relax, but didnt stay long. 3. I ordered an artichoke bruscetta. It was cold (as though it had been refrigerated). I left most if it. Toasted with olive oil would have made it more palatable. 4. In the room, it was a shame that the bed was positioned away from the city view. Instead, it faced the offices nearby. A lost wow opportunity to see the city lights while lying in bed.

My stay started upon my arrival by car and being greeted by a valet who helped unpack my luggage and walker from my car boot. Even though I was slightly early, I was lucky to receive a room upgrade and the room was ready. It was a great start of my city staycation. The room was clean and comfortable for my use. Had breakfast at No 35 and enjoyed the different food choices available. Staff were attentive in taking my coffee order and clearing the table. The Atrium Bar is great for a night drink and a light snack / food. With trams near the entrance and within the free tram zone, travelling around the city is easy. With many theatres and restaurants nearby you have plenty of options for entertainment and eating. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Bottled water is available in the room. There are rooms with accessible bathroom upon request. I enjoyed my stay and can’t wait to return again.
