Questionable hygiene

Corridors and room were smelly and did not appear clean. Even after opening windows to air out room it was still unpleasant. My partner refused to stay in the room with concerns about hygiene. Checked out and moved to another hotel. Received refund for unused night.

Room was large and position near theatre was great. Snack and bottled water on arrival was a lovely touch. Forgot to take entry code with me when I left for a walk in the morning and can’t reenter building with room keycard. Rang number on door several times to get let in but went unanswered for between 5-10 mins. Morning was cold and wet so wasn’t ideal.

However there was no clear warning about after hours procedure requires call and waiting a bit but worked okay. Would have been nice to know. I was also not for warned there would be 2 lots of steps to get to the room. the lift only goes to 9 th floor and I was placed on level 10. There is an excellent parking structure just around the corner from th hotel but instructions could b clearer on it use and access. Again it works well. there was step between the bed room and the main living area of the apartment again no information to pre warn. Also fridge was much smaller then in previous mantras I have stayed at. if I had family this would all have been an issue

Felt no loyalty as a member No priority check in, no welcome drinks, no offer of upgrade, no late check out Nothing - difficult not to take up IHG on their status match with these sorts of experiences.
