I enjoyed my stay in this hotel. It was clean and doesn’t smell. Only thing is pillow wasn’t comfortable (too flat). Many food choices around the area.

Overall, this hotel was better than I expected compared to my previous stays in Berlin, but it still did not fully match what I personally expect from a 4-star experience. The biggest highlight for me was the room itself. It was spacious and comfortable, although outdated. I also had beautiful windows, which added a lot of character to the space. Another major plus was the bathroom — I absolutely loved having a bathtub, and honestly, that alone is one of the biggest reasons I would consider coming back. The location is also very convenient, being right next to the metro, and the foyer is beautiful and creates a very good first impression. That said, there were a few things that left me disappointed. First, I was overcharged at the front desk for my stay, which is a mistake that simply should not happen. Since the reservation was booked directly online through Accor, I do not understand how the hotel system displayed the wrong amount to charge the guest. Another thing I found disappointing was the bottled water in the room being chargeable and clearly marked with a price tag. In a 4-star hotel, I would either expect complimentary water or simply not have bottled water provided at all. Compared to another hotel I stayed at in Berlin, this experience was definitely better. I actually booked this hotel because I had previously stayed at Mercure Hotel Berlin City and had a very poor experience there despite the similar price point and the same 4-star category. The room there was small and did not meet the standard I expected. Because of that comparison, I am glad I chose this hotel for my next stay in Berlin — it was noticeably better. At the same time, the experience still leaves me with the impression that Mercure hotels in Berlin in general do not have a lot to offer.
