We stayed for 4 nights at Ibis Coimbra in a supetior room. Although small, the room has good storage space, a mini fridge and a kettle. We had a good view of the river and the park. The breakfast is ok and coffee is great. The room was very clean and the staff were very nice and helpful. The only downside was that it was pretty cold at night and there was no possibility for heating. The hotel is very close to all historical and cultural attractions in Coimbra. We had a very good stay and would love to come again.

The hotel's location is close to downtown but is inconvenient for reaching the Coimbra B Station and the long-distance bus station. When I asked the receptionist during check-in how to reach the train station, I was told that it could only be reached by taxi or Uber, which is not true. I was also told that there was a green shuttle bus connecting the station but I couldn't find it. I was really disappointed by the false reply. I subsequently took bus route 22/22F to the station. I found the hotel disappointing overall. I opted for Holiday Inn Express in Porto and Lisbon whose charges were similar to ibis but offered much better quality.
