IBIS Coimbra is well located. The entrance to the old town is nearby. Also a nice park is opposite the hotel. Room on the fifth floor was not big. It was also warm because airco was not so powerfull. The room was clean and everthing works fine. Staff is friendly and helpfull.

I had a very satisfying stay at the ibis Centro Coimbra hotel. Although it is a 2-star hotel, it fully meets expectations and offers excellent value for money. The facilities are adequate and, above all, stand out for their cleanliness, which I always value highly. The staff is very friendly and attentive, making the stay even more pleasant. The breakfast is abundant, varied, and appropriate, with enough options to start the day well. In addition, the location of the hotel is very good, ideal for getting around the center of Coimbra and visiting its main attractions. In summary, it is a highly recommended option, especially if you plan to spend a few days visiting the city and are looking for comfort, good service, and a central location.

For a one night stay in Coimbra the location is excellent now that all the road and riverside works have been completed so easy access to the river Mondego with its riverside restaurants as well as famous the hilltop university and its amazing Botanical Gardens only a short walk from the hotel. As our room was not ready at check in time we had a lovely Italian meal by the river and on return were informed that our room had been upgraded due to our delay however the room appeared to be the most basic possible (we observed much better rooms being cleaned)! Problems particularly with a falling toilet seat lid which was very annoying and attempting to start up the heating as it was cold. A passable one night stay in a basic and compact room. The buffet breakfast was good value for money with a wide range and included fresh orange juice that you could squeeze from the delicious oranges provided!
