444Richard Friends getaway - TripAdvisor review

The hotel was cheap and cheerful. The staff were helpful, but not over friendly. The room was small and basic, reflected in the price. The 2 single beds were very narrow , thin matress kept sliding when in the bed, disturbing sleep. Continental breakfast adequate. Parking a problem. Basement car park under hotel. Access very narrow with sharp bends.Scrape marks on the walls where cars have hit the wall on the bends entering. NOT SUITABLE FOR LARGER CARS. My 4x4 scraped the low wall on the bend driving up to exit the car park.

We were charged double for our stay. The booking.com reservation we had originally attempted to make reportedly did not go through when I tried to place it. This meant I attempted to make a booking on the ibis website. It took longer for the booking.com email to arrive in my account so there was no way for me to know that I had double booked. I was not told that I would be charged twice when we checked in and instead they let us pay for a room and obviously cancelled the next booking. The next day I was charged a cancelation fee on booking.Conm. The front desk staff was very unhelpful and refused to give us a refund

Hi, everyone, We arrived to Coimbra all excited about the evening and ensuing day we were going to spend in your beautiful city. After having driven quite some distance, we were looking forward to a hot shower and venturing into the city to dne and check out the evening life. To our surprise, however, the room was ice cold and when asking to switch on the heating we were politelly turned down. As a long standing Accor member and someone who really enjoys staying at your hotels I was beyond dissapointed and frustrated. To be on vacation and being refused to have your room heated it's not a nice experince. If only it was written at the time of the booking that "watch out, there is no heating available", we would have chosen a different location. I really hope you do take measures, because it's a shame that other people experince that. Kind regards, Ana
