Old property and badly needs renovation

Although centrally located, the property is quites old with lots of wear and tear and is in dire need of renovation. Air conditioning was not at all working.

We would like to inform you that the maintenance and servicing of our air conditioning units are handled by a specialized company. With older units, limitations can unfortunately arise, though we are actively working to keep them in reliable condition. Due to legal regulations, we also require guests' consent before allowing windows to be fully opened to mitigate any potential safety risks. We understand that this may feel unusual and possibly inconvenient; however, your safety is our utmost priority. We regret that these policies and conditions impacted your stay, and we thank you again for your patience and openness. An ok stay

DIF1891 TripAdvisor review

The hotel is about 1 km from the central station. We were allowed to check in just after 2pm but could leave our bags in the luggage room. Room of older standard and they had limited so you could only have the lowest level on the AC. We were given a room right off the stairs, the door slammed loudly all night, I don't understand why they don't install silent closing doors like they had on reception level.
