Front desk personnel were excellent, 10 out of 10. The restaurant staff was also excellent, 10 out of 10. Very good location as it is super close to the shopping/lake/dining areas. The breakfast buffet was adequate although the scrambled eggs were terrible, like a cottage cheese consistency. Almost inedible. Housekeeping was hit or miss. They did stop by every day, but no refills on the coffee/tea station and little cleaning actually done. Took a shower the day we checked in and the drain backed up almost outside of the shower. This was due to a massive amount of hair in the drain that I had to remove. Looked like that had not been cleaned out in quite some time and was disgusting (can send you a picture if you want to see it). Lots of fingerprints on the windows and moldy areas in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the linens quite clean. We stayed in two rooms during our stay and the showers in both were extremely low flow. Not sure if this is common in France, but was certainly not up to my expectations. If you are traveling here from the USA, check to make sure you have the correct power adapter. My international adapter did not work in this hotel (whereas it did work in other regions in France).

The location is good very easy to walk to the old town and near the train station and shopping center but the both lift didn’t work we had to walk up and down and work out a lot and plug in the bathtub doesn’t work

There was no luggage assistance service, which was very disappointing, especially since we had several heavy bags. We expected better service from a Novotel hotel

The hotel lobby was completely reserved for an event throughout our stay. As regular hotel guests, there was hardly anywhere to sit, as all the seating areas had been removed. One of the two elevators was out of order for our entire five-night stay. The reception staff did not seem particularly concerned when we mentioned this. We were simply told that we should leave our feedback online. No actual solution or assistance was offered. Breakfast was also chaotic every morning. The tables were not properly clean, even after being wiped down. The buffet was clearly not being monitored properly. Whenever something ran out — milk, juice, jam, or even juice glasses — we had to ask the staff ourselves for it to be replenished. The staff did not appear to check the buffet regularly or refill items when necessary. Overall, we had the impression that the needs of regular hotel guests were completely overlooked because of the event. For a hotel of this standard, this is simply not acceptable.
