For one week or just to stay from Monday till Friday is enough. To stau longer than a week, and for this 4 stars category and the prices, rooms should be a bit more biggers, Gym is missing as well and restaurant should be open also on the weekends. But for one week is good enough.

Indeed the hotel does not have a gym but as we are located next to a commercial center, there are gyms nearby that you can use that offer reasonable daily and weekly rates, do not hesitate to ask for our reccomendations, the front desk is pen 24/7 and we are always willing and able to assist in any way that we can. We are happy that you enjoyed eating in our restaurant, the chef uses local and fresh products daily to ensure the highest quality. For a 4 star hotel here in Angers our rooms are on the bigger side and we are well matched price wise as well. The hotel has been recently refurbished and we are very glad that it is to your liking. Halfway between Dieppe and Royan. However, restaurant was closed and the only restaurant in the commercial centre has closed down. Possible problem for future stays. Excellent room and facilities but I don't like ground floor rooms without a view.

Nice, clean hotel. But we were not informed that the hotel would be undergoing renovation when we booked. We received an email less than a week before our stay informing us about this and that the restaurant would be closed. We were staying Sunday where literally everything is shut in France incl restaurants. We specifically chose this hotel because of their restaurant. We could not cancel our reservation without paying full price. The bar did do some food but not suitable for autistic children! Not happy about the lack of service from the Mercure hotel group.

Building Site

I have never stayed in a building site before. The room was OK, a bit small, but there is so much work going on there was no relaxing lie-in in the morning when the building work started just outside my bedroom window. The one lift was straight into the building work, the breakfast was horrendous. Had I known it was going to be like that I would not have stayed and I cannot believe Accor charged me full price, I would not have paid half price for that. As an avid Accor ALL silver member, we spent the next night in Mercure Vieux-Port Port La Rochelle which was not very different in price but a world away in terms of quality. I should get my money back for staying in Mercure Angers.

In order to not disturb our clients as much as possible we are trying our best to provide a good quality of service under the conditions and we do not start with noisy renovations before 9 in the morning and it stops at 5pm. The restaurants and receptions is located in our newly renovated state of the art meeting room, and our chef prepares all meals including the breakfast buffet with fresh ingredients daily. The staff were helpful and polite; but the building is still going through a refurb so we had to make excuses for a lot of what was going on.
