I have never stayed in a building site before. The room was OK, a bit small, but there is so much work going on there was no relaxing lie-in in the morning when the building work started just outside my bedroom window. The one lift was straight into the building work, the breakfast was horrendous. Had I known it was going to be like that I would not have stayed and I cannot believe Accor charged me full price, I would not have paid half price for that. As an avid Accor ALL silver member, we spent the next night in Mercure Vieux-Port Port La Rochelle which was not very different in price but a world away in terms of quality. I should get my money back for staying in Mercure Angers.

I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies. Our hotel is indeed undergoing much needed renovations to be able to offer an even higher quality of service, a fact that is well stated on our website and all reservation site and you still made to choice to come stay with us, so a refund is not an option. In order to not disturb our clients as much as possible we are trying our best to provide a good quality of service under the conditions and we do not start with noisy renovations before 9 in the morning and it stops at 5pm. The restaurants and receptions is located in our newly renovated state of the art meeting room, and our chef prepares all meals including the breakfast buffet with fresh ingredients daily. We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future in our new and improved hotel Sincerely, Mister Nachez/ General Manager

The staff were helpful and polite; but the building is still going through a refurb so we had to make excuses for a lot of what was going on.

Despite not fitting my preconception of a rustic idyll overlooking a lake, the stay, despite substantial building work taking place was relaxed and comfortable.

Dear customer, We thank you for your excellent ratings following your stay at the Mercure Angers Lac de Maine Hotel. Our establishment is currently under construction, in fact. They are a necessary step to allow us to offer you this new setting of comfort that we have imagined for you and we try to impact our customers as little as possible during this phase. Our rooms were completely renovated last year and our seminar rooms were inaugurated last September. We are beginning the renovation of our common areas, which has the consequence of temporarily moving our entrance. We have put in place signs to allow our customers to clearly locate access to the establishment. Our customers are getting used to these small temporary changes and are unanimously delighted to discover our new rooms. It is with great pleasure that we receive your compliments. Also, we will not fail to share your assessments with our entire team. Your satisfaction is the greatest reward for our staff who work day after day to offer you impeccable service.
