The hotel is in a great location: just by the river and close to the city centre. The hotel lobby and car area were lovely, with comfy seating and a really nice ambience. The room was a great size and really comfortable. The toilet was separate from the bathroom, which was odd, b ut otherwise it was great! Check in was incredibly slow and took ages, which is a shame because everything else was brilliant.

I left doing this feedback for a while after our return from our short break. We have stayed here before and the room was lovely at that time. On our recent return, our room was in poor condition. WC walls had chipped paint , stains of something running down the wall at high level. The room walls had scuff marks in various places, and the bedside light did not work. This room as let a superior was clearly not maintained and quite frankly we were not happy with it. We paid a lot of money for this room and to be honest has potentially put us off returning. One item to highlight on both visits is the size of the WC, you have to ‘shimmy’ around the door to get in and close it!
