We've stayed there many times, and continue to be impressed by the staff (special kudos to Marta in the restaurant, but everyone else was great too). The middle elevator lights on the left have some problems, which I told the front desk about in June and were just getting worse in August. Minor point, but I worry that it is indicative of other equipment maintenance falling behind.

We were on our way back to NYC when I had a medical emergency, causing us to miss our flight and leave us stranded. Vanessa (I think that was her name?) was incredibly accommodating and kind, arranging even for an upgrade and I believe the medical emergency room rate, which was sorely needed after a very stressful day. Your hotel is lovely, the staff beyond amazing, and we plan to stay there on our next trip to LA

We stayed at Sofitel Beverly Hills and overall had a mixed experience. The service was excellent, and everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful and welcoming. The location is also very convenient, with plenty of shopping and dining options directly across the street and within easy walking distance.
We paid extra for a Hollywood Hills view room. While we technically did have views of the Hollywood Hills, our room was only on the fourth floor and looked directly over a large section of the hotel roof. There were cigarette butts visible on the roof below, and we could frequently smell cigarette smoke, which meant we didn't really feel comfortable opening the window. There is also a school directly across from the hotel, which became quite noisy early in the morning when we had hoped to sleep in.
The room itself was quite dark and had a very awkward layout. The bed faced into a corner that felt crowded with furniture, leaving surprisingly little space to comfortably move around. The bathroom was a good size, but again, the layout was quite awkward, including a window between the shower area and the bedroom. It didn't feel particularly luxurious despite being spacious.
The pool was also strangely positioned, quite far away and tucked into a small triangular area. However, the surrounding sunbathing area was lovely, and we really liked the furniture and overall design of the communal areas.
One feature we particularly appreciated was the water stations throughout the hotel. They were incredibly convenient and a thoughtful touch, especially during our stay in LA.
Overall, the staff were wonderful and the location was excellent, but the room itself was disappointing. Considering we paid extra specifically for a Hollywood Hills view, looking over a roof covered with cigarette butts, dealing with cigarette smells and early morning noise, and having such a dark and awkwardly arranged room made the upgrade feel poor value. The hotel has some lovely features, but based on our particular room, I would describe the overall experience as just okay.

I came out with some friends and we enjoyed the pool, nights out in the city, and hotel bar one night while being entertained by performers. It was a very great time there. I will say the valet is pretty pricey. There are local parking place around some, not overnight though.
