Great service from the minute I arrived until check-out and all folks in between. The facilities were lovely (pool, hot tub, spa, coffee shop, FIG restaurant, etc.) and all of my needs were met. My only request would have been for a bit more diversity in food choices at the restaurants/room-service, but I just went to restaurants outside the hotel to make that happen. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The only reason I stayed at this hotel was because of the wedding I attended in Santa Monica. The bridal couple reserved a block of rooms. For a Fairmont hotel, this one was sub-par. The room and bathroom was small and outdated, the phone did not work, the iPad was difficult to navigate and parking was ridiculously expensive at $52 per night. I feel that guests staying at the hotel should’ve been given a discount on the parking. The only good thing I can relay is they have a decent gym with some very good equipment. I did not have a good experience here as it didn’t live up to the Fairmont quality that I experienced in the past. There’s lots of other hotels in the area and Fairmont will not be my first choice in the future.

Spent 4 days there with my daughters celebrating 2 of our birthdays. Beautiful lobby and hotel grounds. The rooms can use some updating. The furniture looks very worn and the carpet needs to be replaced.

Excellent!! From arriving at your front door to waving good bye as we left, our stay was stellar. Troy at Guest Services was very helpful and great to chat with. Eddie took care of us in the lounge. He was professional, friendly and meticulous. Lupe was attentive to every member in our parties ensuring all we’re not left thirsty. A treat to borrow bicycles to cruise as well. We were greeted at every turn including the staff servicing our rooms when we met them in a hallway. A stay we will fondly remember.

I stayed on 7th floor ocean view south facing. Night club was extremely loud even w window and shades closed. I used ear plugs but could still hear it. I wish the hotel was more transparent and up front w this. I’m certain every single member of the hotel team is aware of this issue. I’m also certain the night club brings incredible revenue for the business. That being said the customer experience suffers dramatically from this and I’m sure the approach has been “let’s just accept some back end discounts/refunds because that’s more profitable than a disclaimer before booking rooms about the club noise”. It’s disappointing that the fairmont has taken this stance either actively or passively. The noise level is significantly higher than street noise or anything else you’d hear in an urban environment. I’ll make sure this is published on trip advisor since we clearly can’t rely on the hotel to do the right thing for customers.

Our recent stay at the Fairmont was disappointing for the following reasons; 1. Because we stayed at the Fairmont in the past, we received an email alerting us to the hotel's 100 anniversary. The email offered us a 20% discount. Based on the offer we made a last-minute decision and decided to drive from San Diego to visit our daughter in Santa Monica for the weekend. Upon check-in, we showed the clerk the email and requested the discount. The clerk informed us the discount was not available, but they could offer us a 10% discount instead. Not a good start! 2. We stayed in room 516. The guest in room 518 talked loudly until 3 or 4 am during our two-night stay. There is no insulation between the two rooms, at the lock-out door. 3. There was a coffee machine in our room without coffee or cups? 4. We tried to have breakfast at the Fig Restaurant, the hostess told us there would be a 30 to 40-minute wait for a table in the restaurant. But, if we wanted to sit in the lobby area there was immediate seating available. We were in somewhat of a hurry so we elected to sit in the lobby. Big mistake. After waiting well over thirty minutes for coffee and breakfast we told the waiter to cancel our order. He responded, “but your order is the third order in line for the kitchen to cook.” We elected to leave and eat elsewhere. I share this information in hopes it helps improve future guests' stay at your hotel.

This was my second time this year at the Santa Monica Fairmont. It was wonderful, especially now that they have a house driver. My daughter lives half a mile away and I used it to get back after dark and twice to get to my hair appointment. Uber is way too expensive!

Stayed a week. A good stay with a couple of minor annoyances. The valet parking is disorganized. Bathtub was peeling. Stayed in a suite which was near what apparently was a large air conditioner, thus it was rather noisy.

I was over billed and you sent me this survey before correcting the bill ! The person at the front desk explicitly told me that my breakfast credit applied and that he would immediately email me the bill (thursday at 11 am) and I received the bill saturday and over $100 of breakfast charges !!

The staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the location. The room was not nearly as clean as expected. We asked fir a microwave, and while appreciated, it was filthy. Also, we left a spouted cup and called the lost and found monday- have not heard back

was weird that they was no bar soap in the room when we checked in. We requested and was brought up promptly and then the maid took it the next morning and didn't leave new. Just thought it was unusual

We had a wonderful time at the Fairmont. We stayed in a family suite. It was perfect for our family. The room was clean and the staff very attentive to all our needs. We loved the fact that the hotel had bicycle at our disposal.
