I chose to stay in the Fairmont Santa Monica even though it was 30% more expensive than nearby named hotels. It was so busy in the foyer /lobby of the hotel that it felt like a train station with people not attending the Arcview conference congregating. The food was so so in the various restaurants in the hotel. There was a feeling no one was in charge as usually a manager would greet guests at other premium-style hotels. Not a great experience and won't return.

The accommodations are lovely, but my main satisfaction comes from the competence, friendliness, and helpfulness of your staff. Kudos to every one of them, from the front desk, to the concierge, to bell/door, to housekeeping. Amazing! We were part of the Arcview Investors' Forum. We were presenters and had a booth. Concierge was wonderful in handling our shipping n and out of your hotel.

The heater in my room was broken for the entirety of my stay. I requested support to fix this numerous times each day. The maintenance staff was prompt, professional and wonderful. They came to attempt to repair it, but there was still loud noises and no heat. I shared this update with your management, but I was never offered an option to move to another room, or permitted to move even when I requested a new room. I was staying with you while attending a conference and didn't have time beyond the numerous daily requests and service visits to deal with this further so I spend the entirely of my stay sleeping with my winter coat on. It was really disappointing to experience such poor hospitality. I was looking forward to staying at a Fairmont as I have often stayed with you during business travel, but I will select other hotels in the future given this experience.

I stayed at the Fairmont for an investment conference. I was battling a cold, so I ordered room service a few times and happy to be able to stay in my room and recover. I would love to see recycling bins in the rooms and a move away from so much bottled water.

Everything that I needed it was at my doorstep. The main reason we were there was for a company retreat, and the hotel meeting room and other amenities, I allowed us to get a lot of work done in a comfortable setting… Without leaving the building. The absolute best part of the hotel , Was the food. Amazing kitchen!

This is our 3rd time staying at the hotel and it was less than satisfactory from the start. In past years, it felt like the entire experience was above and beyond what was expected for a good hotel experience. This year stood out with negative experiences. First upon check in, the room key system was down and we were not able to get our rooms keys for nearly 48 hours. That’s unacceptable when you have 2 children needing to get to bed and we have to wait for a hotel employee to escort you to your room after having to wait in line at the front desk to get you someone. Secondly, we woke up the first morning to find that the elevators were not working and with a double stroller and 2 kids, it was a hassle to figure out how to maneuver our way out of the hotel. Lastly (the experience that frustrated me the most), was that I called the hotel directly the night before checking in to request a crib and cot for my 2 children to be set up in our room like in years past. Upon check in, I reminded the staff of my request and she said that it was in the system and it should be done by turn down. It had not been completed upon check in, so I anticipated it’d be done when we got back from dinner. It was not. We got home and the children were exhausted with no where to sleep. I called housekeeping twice before someone came to our room. It brought a lot of stress to my “vacation”. In years past, the crib & cot had been set up in advance and there have been treats and gifts for the children. They were sure disappointed when they got to the room! We don’t typically expect this at hotels, but since you’d set the bar high in the past - we expected it! Other than those 3 poor experiences, we had a good time. The exhale fitness center classes were great, dinners at the Fig restaurant were yummy and the room was clean.

First night : bar playing music too loud( pounding) all night Second night: sounded like a ball ricocheting most of the night on the ceiling Third night : entire faucet was replaced while we sat in our pajamas because the faucet stuck on Front desk was not made aware of the faucet episode which I found wrong in this level price hotel . Fig was great Staff in lounge exceptional Concierge did not give good advice on 2 things. We were disappointed I would stay again despite all this

From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff were so accommodating and willing to help in any way, the gentlemen who were with us during the day with the food, Hector …so professional and graceful moving their way through everyone, keeping the spaces clean, and going above and beyond to ensure the high class service was provided. The rooms were absolutely stunning and wonderfully sized. THE FOOD! My goodness, if there was one comment that resonated within the group was how incredible the food was. There was not one meal or snack that wasn’t loved by all. Please pass along our highest regards to your head chef and culinary team as they did a fantastic job keeping us engaged and fueled for our sessions (including the FIG potting shed!). The meeting spaces created such a beautiful ambiance and gave exactly the right vibe we wanted for the summit. Everyone was relaxed and willing to share and collaborate and I think it absolutely had a huge part in due to the spaces we were afforded in the Bungalow.

~The welcome by the valet/bellman was exceptional and friendly. ~Myself and my husband are owners of a travel agency. We did greatly appreciate the TA rate. I recently had a family of 6 in 2 rooms at your hotel in the past, so I was glad to have the opportunity to review what they would have experienced. ~We brought 2 other guests/clients with us for our stay who are from the SoCal region. I was hoping to impress them greatly at the Miramar to encourage a return stay for them and their family ;) ~The check in area is not most optimal----it's cold and uncomfortable in front of the entry doors. The entire lobby area is cold. The check in desk is HUGE, leaving an uncomfortable distance between the guest and the clerk. You have to keep leaning in over the desk to hear what the rep is saying. ~We did greatly appreciate the room upgrade provided and it was a beautiful oceanview. ~The room itself was decent and offers the conveniences needed for business and pleasure. Typical, noticeable "paint over" areas on the entry door, bathroom trim, etc.....one feature that I would have expected was a "make up removal wipe" as a standard for the bath amenities. ~I tried to call the front desk as soon as we were situated in our room.....I made 3 attempts, but was never connected after long hold times. So I had to go personally to the desk myself. I was trying to inquire about the continual banging noise from above in our room. Apparently there was carpet restoration going on above until 5pm? ~When we returned to our room for the night, there was a different "rapping/tapping" kind of noise for the entire night from above....couldn't figure it out!! ~I had to go back to the desk clerk 2 more times, then still seek out 2 other restaurant/hotel staff members to obtain guidance for our special, private event. The clerk had insisted that it was in a particular region...we went there and all other areas, with no success. We walked the entire lower level, including the outside pool area to find the room assignment---that ultimately was RIGHT ACROSS FROM THE FRONT DESK clerk!! We were late for our event since it took nearly 15 minutes to get us to where we needed to be :( ~We were blessed to have that wonderful group meeting room assigned, as the outdoor area was most optimal for viewing the sunset during the event! That was a very comfortable, warm ambiance for the event :) ~The servers during that event did an exceptional job and were very dedicated to tending to all guests needs. ~The private car service was always quick and easy to access, and greatly appreciated. The first driver was not friendly or attentive at all to the guests, but all others were exceptional. Our first ride was at 9pm on Monday night to The Misfits restaurant. He dropped us off and stated that we can call back before 1045pm for the return pick up. We called back at 1040pm to request the return. We were informed that the driver had to go home early and their next staff member had a flat tire on their way into work, so we would have to get our own ride. So, I called an Uber for our group of 4 adults. ~The hotel is wonderfully located. We enjoyed our stay and all staff (except the evening driver) were very friendly. I am glad that we opted to stay at your Fairmont Miramar to experience this area of Santa Monica. Thank you again for your partnership with our agency :)

I always have a good experience staying at the MIramar, however this time it was different. There was an issue with the card key and we were not given a key at check in and needed to wait for staff to escort us to our room for our entire stay, which was very inconvenient. Also the elevator was not working one day and we had to take the stairs, so our stay this time was not the best experience. However I must comment on the excellent service of the valet staff.

Nice room, but felt basic given that it was a ‘upgrade’. Perfectly comfortable and clean - with plenty of amenities gilets services... but, for the money, the room could’ve been bigger and the room service menu less expensive. The food itself was very good, and the staff are friendly and attentive. The checkout guy was a little robotic and disengaged, but certainly nothing ‘wrong’ there. Beds are very comfortable and the shower refreshing and powerful. Its a lovely, thoughtfully-designed resort in a great location... just 20% too pricey in my view.

Love the location and the hotel itself. The staff is always great.

Enjoyed many aspects of the hotel. Breakfast at Fig, the new coffee kiosk, and a leisurely hour reading in the lobby. The pool area is always relaxing. Just a great place where I enjoy staying.
