This was not as satisfying as our visit at this same time last year. We were initially assigned a room in the old building directly in front of the elevator. It was barely large to walk around. The furnishings and carpet were old, paint was chipped, etc. We went downstairs to the reception desk and asked for a room in the newer building. The clerk immediately assigned us to a room comparable to the one we had last year. I am still very disappointed they tried to put us in that first room as we have history with Accor, this hotel in particular and it was Design Week and we were already paying significantly higher room rates for several nights.I realize this is intangible but the atmosphere was different. I am not sure if there is a change of management and staff but it just was not the same friendliness vibe as last year. We love Milan and this hotel’s location but will seriously reconsider where we stay next year when we visit.

Wending machines new work with card payment, the staff always says it’s an external partner. Which I can understand, but now acting on this issue is surprising me. Breakfast is chaotic, no organisation.
