The hotel is well located on the lake of Créteil, which makes it an oasis of quiet in an otherwise busy neighbourhood. Good service, but the interior merits a serious renovation.

Too many things in 3 days

1)I had to proove my reservation 2 timzs on the second day providing your confirmation 2) to reprogram my key other 2 times 3) the pannel on the wall fall on my bed in the middle of the night at 2 am . I ask to check the second one that was unstable … nobody removed both of them… a little too much

Good hotel everything ok except I was disappointed with the meal plan for €29 (dinner starter and main course). I thought the choice was way below what might be expected. From memory the only "protein" dish was "Fish and chips" on the French menu whatever that might mean. Most of the main courses were cold plates. Other guests seemed to choosing from the à la carte which looked good.

Lordmw Families - TripAdvisor review

Our nightmare began 2 days before our intended stay. Our son's insulin pump started playing up ! Then if things couldn't get any worse, we had a tyre blow-out on the motorway !  Now stranded in rural France. We collectively made a calculated decision to cancel our booking with the full knowledge that we were protected with booking.com"s "FREE CANCELLATION" policy My wife then spent hours on the phone contacting the hotel & booking.com in order to confirm the cancellation of our forthcoming stay, & to explain the seriousness of our son's medical emergency ! With repeated promises that everything would be resolved in our favour. Then upon returning to the UK the real nightmare began !!! The Hotel took payment for the no-show, & subsequently charged us for the half board meals that we had not partaken of ! Stating that our booking was a "non refundable" booking, which was untrue ! Dumbfounded & flabbergasted !!! We immediately contacted the Accor group who are the parent company of Novotel hotels. Also contacting booking.com. With the Accor group saying "As our situation was one of a medical emergency. We would 100% receive a full refund" With the hotel now choosing to ignore all communication/messages & emails sent by us/Accor & booking.com ! With our money now  gone !!!  We've followed  booking.com's advice, in opening a dispute with our credit card company. What's shocks us the most beyond that of monetary loss. Is the Hotel's total lack of sympathy, support, compassion, & kindness surrounding our medical emergency & near catastrophic Motorway incident ! Hence my advice to everyone. Is to find an alternative hotel. One that has the ability to express "Good will"  A hotel that doesn't show by it's actions, that it's only interested in your money, whilst giving nothing in return !!!  My review joins the 100's of dissatisfied & disgruntled customers ! Reading other reviews, I see many have had similar nightmares !!! Regards to all fellow travellers. Lord w & family

One of the worst experiences in France. Hotel is old and dirt. Rats everywhere. Smell of dead animal ( probably rat) on the swimming pool area. Totally outside the Novotel standard that I know around the world. Our room was supposed to be ready at 2pm but we arrived at 5pm and we had to wait for that. Only good experience was at breakfast when a lady called Alhima made us feel welcome for first time.
