The ACT has an extensive bus network that connects central Canberra with surrounding suburbs of Belconnen, Gungahlin, Tuggeranong, Woden, Weston Creek and Molonglo. Make sure you purchase a MyWay card or buy single tickets on board to hop on public transport. If you want a more scenic perspective, there are extensive bikeways and bike trails with notable mountain bike tracks dotted around.

Starting in Canberra, take a tour of the National Museum of Australia or the Australian War Memorial before winding down for some R&R at the National Botanic Gardens. Visit the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve and take a walk along the Koala Path, wander the Sanctuary Loop and challenge yourself to the Camels Hump trail for scenic views over the city. The inner-city suburb of Braddon is an emerging hub for memorable eats, charming shops, microbreweries and artisanal delights.
