Great price and location with good facilities such as Gym, Pool and laundry room. Another Plus here is the FREE inhouse movie bank but unfortunately it wasn’t working properly during our stay. Some rooms are very old and in need of a lot of maintenance so check rooms before unpacking; staff (like Ken) are very helpful and will move you to another room. **They need to fix the air conditioning system in the main lobby area, as can get very hot. Felt sorry for the staff working under these conditions.

Excellent room. Great location. Wonderful food. Only problem was that I asked for a 4.30am wake up call to give me time to get to my plane flight on time but the wake up call didn't happen; thanks to my mobile phone alarm I didn't miss my plane

Room was clean and comfortable. Some bathroom tiles broken and need replacement, hot water tap on shower was touchy and not easy to get temperature right. Breakfast bar was limited in selection, only one breakfast cereal (muesli) available, and bacon only every other D.. Food quality was good. Our stay was enjoyable on the whole, the above are only little things which didn't really affect our stay, but is worth mentioning as feedback for you.

It was great except with a bad back the bed was too soft and secondly the fire emergency doors were more often than not propped open by guests using bricks etc. Not good for security. Otherwise a most pleasant experience staying at the Ibis Narrabundah especially during the bushfire smoke (ie an escape from the smoke in an air conditioned room).

Overall experience was positive, surprisingly comfortable bed

Service at the Ibis was good, room was functional and what we expected. It was a little noisy at night, but we didn't realise the Summernats event was happening.

One of our single beds covers had pubic hair on it there was also so stale as bread under the bed my child found n started trying to eat

Staff friendly and helpful. But the hotel needs a lot of matinance. Unable to lock balcony door in our room, tap in kitchen not fitted down it came out all the time. Our grandchildren enjoyed free ice cream happy hour.

w were in a family room to begin with which was tiny and noisy. There were a lot of things that were broken such as the bathroom door and lock, lights and the kettle was very dirty. After 2 nights we had to pay extra and change rooms which also had problems - the airconditioner was not working, light fittings were missing. So we had to change rooms again.

We were well satisfied with Ibis Styles Canberra. In particular we were very happy to observe Management taking care to attend to needs of other 'Fire Refugees'. It has been a difficult time and to see Accor/Ibis doing what they can to assist their guests/members was heart warming.

The place definitely needs a makeover and touch up Bar staff need more training shouldn’t have to explain how to make a lemon,lime and bitters. Cocktail list needs to be redone not everyone likes creamed based cocktails and if you did at the time they had no cream. Little things like great cocktails great food make all the difference ☺️ Food was good I have to say staff friendly TV in rooms a nightmare sometimes worked sometimes didn’t.

1. I booked a 2 bedroom apartment online on your website 2 months prior and confirmed by telephone 1 month prior. Then less than 1 week before our stay, I was phoned and told "there was a problem with the internet booking" and the room was no longer available, and I could accept a downgrade to a queen room and my teenage son and daughter would have to share a bed, or a refund and nowhere to stay with less than a week's notice. No option to stay at one of the 4 other ACCOR hotels in town. I was offered a $30 per night refund, which a week later I have not yet received. 2. ACCOR did not honour their "price match guarantee". I was offered a price that was 8% better on another website, but to get the ACCOR price match guarantee, I had to book and pay in full with ACCOR and then claim the difference. After booking, ACCOR rejected my claim even though I sent all the info and screenshots on the spurious grounds that the offer was not available to the general public. Given there was no opportunity to confirm before paying if ACCOR would honour their promise, I was left feeling cheated.

1. We booked 2 months in advance and phoned a month before to confirm, and then less than one week out were phoned to be told our 2 bedroom apartment had been downgraded to a single room, and kids would have to share a bed. Accept or cancel our booking, with too little notice to arrange something else. No option to stay at one of the 4 other ACCOR hotels in town. We were given a $60 refund ($30 per night) but the room ended up much more expensive than it deserved. 2. They failed to honour their price match guarantee. 3. Breakfast was good and kids enjoyed pancake maker and free ice-cream. 4. Hotel was very crowded and parking was not as accessible as envisaged. I will avoid ACCOR in the future unless I have no other option

Public areas were not vacuumed for the 10 long days we stayed here. The pile of leaves on the floor in the entrance to the block our rooms were in remained there for the duration. Due to the noise of guests checking in at all hours we asked to be moved to a quieter room, so I can compare. Room 1 was shabby and smelt of damp cement; Room 2 was marginally fresher but still smelt of cement. Both carpets were old and worn and had a big stain by the dressers and the TVs could not be switched on and the remotes had no battery covers. The sheets (which were clean mercifully) did not fit on the beds so became totally untucked at night. The shower glass was mouldy and soap dispensers were broken. The odd toilet paper dispensers were horrible. The extractor fan in Room 1 was so loud and clunky it sounded like it would fall through the ceiling. In Room 2 there were no bedside lights (I had to ask for the sole light in Room 1 to be brought to our room, which it was, promptly) and there was an electrical fitting by the bed hanging off the wall. Clearly these family rooms (King, Single and Bunk) are in dire need of refurbishment. Very annoying that there are no power sockets near the beds and they are all along the wall near the TV. I’m not sure what the scope of housekeeping was but everyday they would clean and dry the shower but the bathroom floor was neither swept nor mopped. In Room 2 there was a dubious smear/ stain on the bottom lip of the bathroom sink that was not cleaned off for the duration of our stay. Most unpleasant of all, in Room 1 I noticed what I can only assume were specks of blood on the two sanitary items positioned on the sink. I put them in the bin. The next day these same two items had been neatly repositioned with the other bathroom amenities on the sink - REVOLTING! Instead of emptying it, why are housekeeping removing items from the waste bin and giving them back to the guests?! We did not put anything else in the bins after that and used the public bin outside. We did not have any meals here so cannot comment. The Front Office staff we dealt with were friendly and efficient. Would not choose to stay here again

Only downfall was the food. Breakfast was acceptable. Lunches were disappointing. Would have preferred more salad options. Room was clean and comfortable, good parking. Happy to stay again if I needed to. Good place for conference.

We have stayed at Ibis Styles in Europe and always found them to be excellent. This one is a conundrum. Bedding good. Bathroom good (apart from cracked vanity basin). Breakfast good. Patio had not been cleaned for ages it seems with dirt and cigarette butts remaining making it non usable. The a/c dripped water into the room wetting the carpet and making the room musty. The kitchen sink tap came away from the sink in your hand (reported and this was fixed). The couch was functional but very old and sagged. Also the stairs and corridor with which we accessed the rooms (down a long corridor) were dirty and were not vacuumed the entire time we stayed. In fact, we never saw nor heard a vacuum cleaner at all! Was there one on the premises ? We need to add that this was not "cheap" accommodation and had it not been for the shortage of alternative accommodation during our brief stay in Canberra, we would have left and booked somewhere else. Clearly, we were very disappointed with our Ibis Styles stay in Canberra.

I asked for a ground floor room but there were none available. Reception said there was a room to the side that had 2 steps so I agreed but when I went to move my gear into the room there was actually 6 steps. Too late. I'd already paid for it. Also the ceiling above the shower dripped very loudly. At 10pm there were no maintenance staff available instead I got some towels to buffer the noise. Reception said she would talk to her manager about compensation but of course none was forthcoming

Your service and staff are now of high quality and are back to where it was a couple of years ago. I left and went to another hotel in Canberra for 2 months earlier this year because of the dissatisfaction of the service. Now all your staff have improved and are very professional.

Expectations were not high given value/price of accommodation, however dining chairs in room have loose/unsafe legs, balcony was very dirty, kitchen tap leaked and facilities generally just seem to lack maintenance. Used restaurant for buffet breakfast and it was very disappointing. Cold food (fruit) was not cold, hot food was barely warm, lack of choice (only one cereal and no bacon in hot buffet), bread was very dry, and whilst safe to eat - grey rings in eggs and grey chunks in scrambled eggs was very uninviting. Dining room also was not very clean and windows were dirty from pool on other side. I travel a fair bit and this was the most disappointing breakfast buffet experience I have ever had.
