The festival is an impressive celebration of local talent too, with 501 of the 858 artists featured in the 2023 program coming from across the Northern Territory.
The Darwin Festival program features live music concerts, family-friendly entertainment the kids will love, theatre, dance, and more. The program also includes the National Indigenous Music Awards (NIMAs), an annual event showcasing Indigenous music from across Australia and celebrating Indigenous artists with an evening of awards and performances at the Darwin Amphitheatre.

Darwin Festival features both free and paid events. The events of Darwin Festival take place at various venues throughout Darwin, on Larrakia land, including at Festival Park, the Darwin Entertainment Centre, and the Darwin Amphitheatre.
