The Ibis Izmir was one of our budget hotel stays on our around the world tour. It is in a great location only steps away from Metro and tramway. The room was quite compact but was serviceable for our 5 night stay. The only negative was the fridge did not get cold. However, it was very cold weather while we were staying so not a big issue (it would be different in summer). Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. A pleasure to see smiling every morning.

The room was too hot when i arrived in the first day. I was told it was central heating and the temperature is not adjutable. Then the reception gave me wrong directions and told me to turn-on the a/c inside the room. But the room A/C was only blowing hot air whatever i tried, which made the things worse, so i turned it off. The stuff could't solve this issue anyhow. I was not able to sleep properly in the first night beacause of too hot room. The temperature of the room was acceptable the following days may be due to the fact that outside temperature dropped ot they changed someting, the reason i don't know.
