Good location close to conference venue Easy check -in but the staff member neglected to tell us that the mini bar contents were complimentay and there was a price list in the room. So we purchased items elsewhere. We therefore missed out on 5 days of this benefit!! The room was clean and well appointed but the bed was very uncomfortable. The right hand side was hollow in the middle and gave my wife a backache.

Stayed for 3 nights for conference. Liked the room layout, desk size was good, which was important as my wife joined me and was working remotely. Staff helpful and friendly. Had one dinner in the restaurant and it was very good too. Only improvement would be some coat hooks and extra hooks in bathroom.

The hotel is in downtown Christchurch, just a stone's throw away from everything. Walking distance to Regent street, tram stops and other quirky sightseeing things. The rooms are not the most modern, but definitely not old. Everything was working, clean bathrooms and room in general. The bathrooms are a bit quirky as the sink/washbasin is in the bedroom, whereas toilet and shower are in a separate room as you'd expect. Overall a good venue.
