We had a great time - a brief overnight stay. The hotel room was excellent but up a flight if stairs, and the decor a bit tired-looking and battered… looked like it was dog-friendly (there was a sign) but I would have preferred a pet-free zone and this was not mentioned that I can recall. Room was also a long way from reception but staff may have been willing to drive us had we not had a car. The receptionist was a stand-out!! Thanks!

Unfortunately, we ordered dessert in Lume and it was very basic and flawed. The sticky date pudding was tray baked and inconsistently mixed so half my square was blonde and the other half brown. The toffee on the top was burnt, bitter and inedible. The butterscotch sauce was basically not there. My husband and I got the reverse of the ice creams on the menu. He had my vanilla and I had his honey pokey. They didn’t pair well. I would actually like my money back for them as they still annoy me post our holiday.

I've stayed twice before under my name and others further in the past under a partner. This was the first time I felt the room was underwhelming. It looked like cheap Australian super a-mart furniture I purchased 15 years ago and was worn. I know they have been low light but there was a light out in bathroom and no shade curtains in bedroom. The floor was pre-dirty with construction boots having walked around on entry as well If I would normally give you a 9.5 this was probably a 6.5

As expected, comfort, views, spotless. Comfortable couches near Sprig bar above the dining room, and fire lit, without us asking. Only downfall was a request to make poached eggs harder , which come out under cooked and a missing tea towel on arrival and non replacement of decaf coffee in our room, 2035.

Staff were lovely, surrounds were beautiful. Unfortunately my room 2024 was a let down. Where the mirror is, there was a plastering on the wall exposed perhaps from previous damage but quite a noticeable area. The cleaning was subpar, with dirty grouting in the shower and a lot of dirt in the corner of the windows and in all edges throughout.

Large well designed clean and modern room in a quiet location with awesome views. We were very impressed with the suite and the bed was super comfy. Great to have 2 toilets also and carparking. Would certainly recommend as a treat for anyone wanting luxury accommodation

We had a wonderful stay at Peppers Clearwater Christchurch. The resort is beautifully landscaped and offers a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Our room was clean, luxurious, and very comfortable, with an excellent bed for a great night’s sleep. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.
