Would’ve been great if the reception staff who allocated our room had seen we were gold members and had already given us an upgrade we qualify for. I had to ask for it.

However, we are very sorry to hear that your gold status recognition on arrival did not meet expectations and that you needed to request your room upgrade. This is not the seamless experience we aim to provide for loyalty members, and your comments have been shared with our front office team for immediate follow-up and training reinforcement. We also regret the issues you encountered in your room, including the missing basic kitchen amenities and the concern regarding cleanliness on arrival. We recently stayed in a Lake room for two nights. While we appreciated the outlook, we felt the room itself did not align with standard we've come to expect from the Peppers brand, particularly as a long standing Accor member. The room (number 2442) was clean, however the layout was was not very functional - for example, the wardrobe door could not be fully opened due to its position beside the bed, making it difficult to use and there were very few hangers. We had no choice but to hang our clothes over chair place by the desk. We also found there were insufficient power points for modern needs. Overall the room felt quite dated and more in line with a basic serviced apartment than a premium resort experience. This was quite different from the imagery and expectations set when booking, especially at this price point. Due to the short nature of our stay and our seminar commitments, we didn't request a room change at the time. However, we did want to provide feedback as it impacted our overall experience, and we would be interested to understand how this aligns with the standard typically offered to Accor Gold members. We hope this feedback is helpful and look forward to your response.

Two nights was a bit brief to fully appreciate the stay, but we found the property to be very comfortable and quiet.
