Overall satisfied but felt public area decor was a bit bland and while the public spaces are generous the decor could be more cosy and styled. Restaurant food was good but not great. Breakfast very good. Staff presentation was a bit casual. Some assistance with luggage etc eoukd have been appreciated for those with mobility issues.

We received phone call prior to stay and were advised facility did not have a lift. We requested a ground floor room, operator advised our request would be actioned.We were told on arrival no rooms available During our stay we had a problem with our toilet,unit would not cut off and kept running. Matter was reported to reception on first day but problem was not fixed.

While we do advise that, as a heritage property, we do not have a lift, I understand the importance of following through on requests such as a ground floor room. I’m sorry this was not met on arrival. I’m also concerned to hear about the issue with your toilet and that it was not resolved during your stay despite being reported. This is not acceptable, and it should have been addressed promptly. Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience this caused. I do hope you enjoyed the upgraded experience in our Private Dining Room, and that it added a more comfortable and personalised touch to your time with us. Your comments regarding the overall condition of the property and layout are noted. While the building reflects its heritage character, this should not detract from comfort or functionality, and we recognise there is more to be done.
