We booked our stay a year in advance, expecting everything to be properly arranged upon arrival. Unfortunately, despite making the reservation so early, we did not receive the type of room we requested. We specifically asked for a room on a higher floor, but instead we were given one on the lowest level. When we entered the room, the bathroom floor was covered with black hair, which made a very bad first impression. To be fair, housekeeping responded quickly and cleaned it, but the initial experience was still extremely disappointing. On the last day, the trash was not taken out and the room was not properly serviced, which caused a strong and unpleasant smell. The rooms and furniture are very old and worn out, and in our opinion this hotel definitely does not meet the standard of a five-star property. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this hotel.

We were able to checked in early as we arrived into Sydney early. Everyone was very polite and helpful making check in at ease. We loved the suite. Although we were not able to secure a spot to view the fireworks as the people in front were all very tall and I was short and my kids had no spot to view the fireworks but to go back inside the glass doors. The rule was not to line up but we took the elevator up, there was already a long line. I think this process needs to be planned better and more fair. Overall, the hotel stay was great and in room service was fast.
