I don’t believe this hotel properly honours Accor tier membership. The reservations team doesn’t appear to review bookings in advance, so any small requests or favours noted at the time of booking are only seen by the front desk on the day of check-in. This hotel used to have excellent customer service, which makes this experience particularly disappointing.

My sister and I went to the High Tea at the Fairmont resort. The staff were lovely and attentive but the food was terrible. The sandwiches were not on fresh bread and tasted disgusting - salami and chutney! None of the pastries were made in-house. Don’t waste your money.

We found the rooms comfortable, the service very good with some minor issues with the room. One very disappointing and distasteful issues is the rainbow eyesore slide you have added in front on the view in what should remain green space.

We had a great family stay at Fairmont Resort. There was so much for the kids to do, which made it a really relaxing break for us as parents. The resort is very family-friendly, the facilities are fantastic, and the location in the Blue Mountains is beautiful. We’d happily stay again and would highly recommend it to families.

Social media presents this hotel as incredible, but the reality was extremely disappointing. Staff appeared worn down and unsupported, often unable to provide clear answers or guidance. The children’s inclusions operated at random times, which was difficult to explain to kids who could see the activities but weren’t able to participate. The only consistently available option was the arcade, which came with additional costs. Overall, the facilities felt tired and poorly maintained. Having carpet in a restaurant catering to children felt unhygienic, and the tables were so small they barely accommodated food and drinks. Several small but highly anticipated inclusions didn’t eventuate — no welcome toy for the kids, inability to use my Accor dining voucher, no horses as advertised, and a room service menu that was confusing and poorly described, making it unclear what you were actually ordering. The food at the Italian restaurant was also very disappointing. The children’s pasta serving was large enough to feed multiple adults, while the adult pasta was soggy and frankly inedible. The only acceptable items we received were the pizza and the children’s nuggets. For a restaurant marketed as family-friendly, there was also a lack of appropriate children’s cutlery, which made dining unnecessarily difficult. Restaurant opening times listed on the website differed from the information provided at the hotel, adding to the confusion. Overall, the experience felt disorganised and underwhelming. Given the price paid, it was a significant letdown.
