- Old rooms, especially the bathrooms need to be renovated, here mainly the shower is very old - Gym: Gym is very old and has almost no equipment. It's located in the worst location of the hotel under ground.

The choice for breakfast was rather poor and the coffee tasted horrible. The hotel and room fixtures are outdated and needs a refresh badly. The access card for the lift and room needed to be changed everyday as they just would not work. I will definitely won’t be back to this hotel. The only saving grace for this hotel are the staff they were helpful and tried their best to make the stay better.

We had a family group all staying at the hotel and what stood out to us was the way the staff interacted with us, the other guests and each other. They were so professional, friendly and fun to talk to from the front desk to the rooftop bar everyone was a delight to talk to. The guys in the upstairs bar also make a mean Capirinha :)

The Novotel Barcelona City is a great place to stay. Beautiful hotel and in a great area with restaurants located close by. The Glories Metro was a 5 minute walk and there is a hop on/off bus stop across the road.
