Location is convenient in the sense that McDonald's Woolworth is just across the street. Train station and Ferry is not that far (1 miles) away. Still it's 1 hr from city center by public transportation. (30min with Uber) Hotel staff are friendly, breakfast is good, but the hotel itself is a bit dated and run down.

No mention on website when booking of what was or wasn't available. NO dining, NO bar, NO breakfast (breakfast part was overheard from someone who had paid for it online & breakfast was unavailable). On check-in at the hotel I was advised the bar is open - it was NOT). Advertising at the lifts showed a happy hour every weekday - might be hard to achieve as the bar was CLOSED. Parking charge showed as $20/night on the website for the hotel, but a hand scrawled sign in the parking area showed $25 - a mere 25% INCREASE. When a place advertises the same service/goods at two different prices, the lower is the one to be paid - if any. While the room was good, it was very 'rough' where the sliding door had been put in (just plaster in the wall - not finished to a good standard & the pelmet for the door was certainly not straight. The stay was okay, but internal communication needs improving.

We arrived on 01/Jan around 4pm and were very tired. Just went straight to bed for 3 hours. After working up to getting ready to go to restaurants. We realise that there is dust everywhere in the room. It was so much dust that dust was flying everywhere in the room and can be seen bed, table, tv, water jug etc. we thought the room was locked for long time and they will do cleaning next day when we go out for siteseans. Next day they just changed the bed sheets and towel but the room was still dirty and filthy full of dust. Our kids feels sick staying in that room. Never coming back to this hotel.

Located in a super convenient location where right in front the hotel there are a bus stop, MC Donald, KFC & Woolworth. Additionally, there is a huge park along the river bank nearby. Its facilities are old; however, they are well maintained. The room met my needs with comfortable beds during my 7-day vacation. Negatives include neither toothbrush nor toothpaste provided; moreover, heap of fibre/dust comes out of covers of pillows & quilts. Last but not least, wall insulation was weak as guests’ talk was clearly heard that absolutely disturbed my rest after 10pm.
