I was completely satisfied with my weekend stay at Novotel in Brickell! I arrived early and was offered a room within five minutes. Front desk staff was respectful and knowledgeable, informing me of possible military discounts when he saw my ID. My room was on the 10th floor, I had an amazing view, it was nice, clean, and cozy. Room service was pretty quick, I had a breakfast meal which were not small portions at all, I couldn’t finish it lol but it was good! I visited the rooftop bar and pool, nice and relaxing up there as well. The drinks I tried were pretty good, the wings were okay, overall vibe was nice. It was conveniently located less than 10 minutes from the huge outdoor shopping mall and I loves me some shopping! Also, only about 20 minutes from the yacht party I attended so the location was great for me! I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Miami!

Check in and checkout was very easy. The lobby seemed clean and quiet when we arrived. Even hotel guests were friendly. We ordered delivery food and didnt get any cutlery. The hotel restaurant employee was kind enough to provide us with some. Only negative was the water temperature for the shower. It was below lukewarm.

We received a lovely corner king suite as reserved. Immediately when we walked in "OUCH" - horrible smell. I reported immediately to the front desk they said the hotel was booked and we could not move. The housekeeper came up to give us Lysol to spray and just said it's an "animal friendly hotel". It was really a horrible stench. We sprayed and sprayed. Also when we went to the lobby for coffee the order took so long we canceled breakfast. We were informed there is "only one coffee maker for the whole restaurant". It's a shame. We have stayed here a few times when in Miami.

I informed Novotel of my accessibility needs and early arrival two days before our stay, again the day before, and once more on the day we arrived. Despite all that notice, we were left waiting approximately three and a half hours for a room. After that wait, we walked into a room that was only half cleaned, with dirty pillowcases, nonworking appliances, and no suitable accessibility. Despite that communication, we waited from about 11 a.m. until 2:345 p.m. for a room while other guests checked in and went upstairs. We were told housekeeping had not made a room available.That they just stopped working for about two hours. What made this experience especially upsetting was the lack of assistance. I use a wheelchair and spouse uses a scooter, yet getting help with the door, our bags, and even breakfast included in our stay was a struggle. I should not have had to repeatedly ask for basic help, particularly after communicating my needs so clearly in advance. Giovanni did eventually help us with our bag, and Victor was kind and helpful at breakfast. I appreciate them both. They were the only two people who assisted us without hesitation. Those two men deserve a raise. Their level of help was top-tier. But their kindness does not excuse the overall experience. Making a disabled guest wait three and a half hours only to provide a dirty, inaccessible room with broken appliances is unacceptable. This stay was exhausting, upsetting, and nowhere near the standard I expected from Novotel. Staff had also initially tried to place us in a queen room, despite the accessible room I had paid for. The refrigerator did not cool anything. When I called the front desk, I was told it was only meant to hold items, not make them cold. Mr. Giovanni later told me that was incorrect. Housekeeping also refused my request to change a dirty pillowcase or provide a clean one, so I had to call the front desk for help.

It was decent -- my room kind of smelled like pee, especially when the AC wasn't at full-cold. It was also strange to not have conditioner in the bathrooms. We were so busy with the conference, though, I couldn't bother to request a different room. It was also strange that the AC blew everything off the desk and was very law.
