I would like to share that I was very disappointed that there wasn’t a baby cot upon arriving at the hotel even when the request was made and confirmed 1 week prior to our arrival as shown attached. It was great that the staff manage to find one for us but the cot was in bad condition, rusted parts and stains all throughout the cot which is certainly shocking for a 5 star hotel. Furthermore, we were not informed during check in about the possibility to use the lounge as part of our room booking, we only found out on the last night and missed out on the opportunity for the previous 7 nights. We were shocked when we found out about it as it could have been ideal for us especially during the typhoon days where we were mostly stuck in the hotel. Communication with guests needs much improvement. I would have expected any form of service recovery and what was surprising is that we were not even given an apology for any of the above issues. However, I would like to compliment Ben the doorman who was amazing throughout our stay, helping us greatly in travel arrangements as well as troubleshooting delivery issues. He was key in making our experience better.

My overall hotel experience was mixed. The front desk, concierge, and lounge staff provided excellent service and were genuinely helpful throughout my stay. However, housekeeping significantly let the experience down. Several areas were missed during room cleaning, and I encountered hygiene issues including hairs inside cupboards as well as stains in the bathtub and toilet. I was also disappointed by the in-suite amenities and the overall room readiness. The suite I booked appeared to include an Nespresso machine based on the website photos, but none was provided in my room—only instant coffee was offered instead, which felt inconsistent with the hotel’s price point and class. There was no kitchenware in the room, and I would have appreciated more hotel information or guidance in-room (e.g., what facilities/services are available and how to use them). Breakfast also needed urgent attention. At the egg station, there was no range hood and poor ventilation which I had to inhale cooking fumes to start my morning daily, and my hair and clothes absorbed the oil smell. The breakfast venue also required immediate pest control because flies were flying around the food. While there was a wide variety of items, the overall quality was low. Similarly, the executive lounge offered food that did not meet expectations in terms of quality. In the end, the only standout positives were that the suite was spacious and renovated. Despite the strong service from staff, the hygiene concerns, poor food standards, and several in-room shortcomings meant the stay was not as impressive as it should have been.

A newly renovated serviced apartment that shares the facilities with a regular hotel. It just felt like the owner/manager hasn’t quite decided how to run it. The apartment was nicely renovated with a nice kitchen that came with all drawers empty. There wasn’t even a drinking glass in the room, just 2 tea mugs. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful and I was told that I need to ask for them, which they did provide, if I need anything in the kitchen. The hotel has only one restaurant which serves breakfast. Breakfast spread was not too bad but food quality was at best average. Gym is equipped with pretty old equipments and on the only day I used the gym, 3 out of 5 treadmills were out of order (the 3 older ones). At least there is a very nice park across the road from the hotel which I used. Finally, there is absolutely nothing Swiss about this Swissotel.
