It was a great stay at a reasonable price. I stayed at a Accor special floor. Although the hotel building was a old one, Accor floor was nicely renovated. I used to live in Shanghai over 15 years. It was Sheraton Hotel and later became Jinjiang Hotel prior to Handwritten Collection.

Enjoyed my stay at the hotel, from the check in at reception to the checkout, it was a pleasure to stay at the hotel. Although the decor is slightly older, that is part of the charm. Although somehow the air vent in the toilet wasn't working. Everything else was good and I would stay at the hotel again in the future.

I had another wonderful stay at Hotel Shanghai Hongqiao – Handwritten Collection. From check-in to departure, the team was consistently warm, professional, and attentive. Their genuine hospitality made me feel welcome throughout my stay, and every request was handled promptly and with great care. The suite was spacious, elegant, and exceptionally comfortable, providing a perfect place to relax after a busy day. The hotel itself is well maintained, with a peaceful atmosphere that makes it stand out from many business hotels. The location is another major advantage. It is conveniently situated near Hongqiao Railway Station and Hongqiao Airport, with plenty of restaurants, shopping, and transportation options nearby, making it ideal for both business and leisure travelers. A special thank you to the Reservations and Front Office teams for their thoughtful assistance and outstanding service. Their attention to detail truly made a difference. I would gladly stay here again on my next visit to Shanghai and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for excellent service, comfort, and a convenient location.

I highly recommend this hotel—from the front desk to the restaurant, and even when it comes to everyday needs. When I arrived in the evening, they arranged a light meal for me without any trouble, and the restaurant staff member went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable. THANK YOU SO MUCH

Stayed 4 nights, room was fine, bathroom needed minor repairs. Some decor is dated, but fits the hotel character. No bar, couldn't tell anyone the price for breakfast as it wasn't offered to us. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. I would say more of a 4 star quality. Concierge could do with more local knowledge of where metro stations are and local shop to get items. Had to discover this ourselves even after asking.but overall a comfortable stay simply lacking in hotel services. With the amount of food deliveries for guests, the hotel should take note of this and provide restaurant services all day and into the evening. The need for a bar would improve the overall facilities provided.

The reception desk didnt put me on the All accor floor and gave a basic room. When I added extra breakfast for 1 more guest, they dont give you the discount for a member. The bathroom flush n seat water system was not working. Very poor service for 2nd visit, I stayed at same hotel for first 3 days and the service was good but the room for last day was really pathetic and front desk doesnt understand when you ask in english

The hotel is well decorated in addition to being close to my business contacts. However, I was not offered welcome drinks nor invitation to Executive Lounge during checking in. At last the receptionist asked me to visit the lounge after my enquiry at the front desk. Hopefully I do not have to experience similar embarrassing situation during my next visit.

Room is super clean and spacious. Front desk is nice, helpful, and friendly. The hotel is located within walking distance of 3 subway lines.

The hotel building is quite spacious and comfortable. It certainly has history and the recent renovation makes the stay more comfortable. The bed is really nice. The downside is the bathroom, which is very tight. Nevertheless, all the hotel staff are very friendly despite the language barriers. A quick taxi ride to popular areas is around 25-30 RMB which is not bad at all. Overall, I really love the hotel for the exceptional value for money.
