Very clean and comfortable room and a lovely self service breakfast. Very helpful staff on reception and the underground garage was a very reassuring place to leave our campervan with bikes on the back. And just 5 mins from the ferry. Highly recommend.

Great clean modern hotel came with a dog got a quiet room only thing that was a problem every now and then was the internet connection

This was our last stop off before returning home on the ferry to Plymouth. We stayed for two nights. The hotel is really close to the ferry port and is located on a very busy road junction and next to a railway line. Our room was overlooking the road but despite our initial concerns the windows were so well insulated, we were never bothered by the traffic outside. Check in was efficient and friendly. The hotel says it is dog friendly (which is partly why we chose it) but in reality like most places in Spain it is dog tolerant at best. We couldn't take the dog with us to breakfast despite the fact there was plenty of space for us to tuck ourselves discreetly in a corner so as so often we ended up having separate breakfasts. We paid extra to have a dog but nothing like a dog bowl was provided so just felt the charge was a way of extracting extra money. Had we known just how bad breakfast was, we wouldn't have bothered. Everything is pretty awful although if you like pastries for breakfast, you'll probably be happy. The room was basic and housekeeping seemed slack (bins not emptied etc) BUT the bed was probably the most comfortable we had slept in during our whole three week holiday. Parking was fine. We didn't use the car park underneath the hotel but used the spaces close to the front of the building. Hotel is located in a pretty grotty part of Santander and it is a bit of walk to the nice more central area BUT there are plenty of convenience stores etc nearby. To have got a better score from us and to have encouraged us to return, I would suggest improving housekeeping, make the breakfast much better and be dog friendly - either fully embrace having canine guests or simply don't accept them.

Good breakfast. Parking, Airport less than 10 mins drive. Walk to town about 40mins via underpass which is, exit hotel, go right about 50m (on bend then through small park)
