A dissapointing stay in a hotel that barely should be a Mercure. The staff is willing but the set up does not help to efficiently serve the customers. When calling the reception from the room, it takes up to 10-15 min sometimes to get hold of them. There are no options to call room service, housekeeping etc...from the phone in the room which is a shame. The brekfast is the worst I have ever had in an accor hotel ! the cheese is appaling for a french owned chain ! no product is fresh, everything is processed : juice, jam, pastries etc...the salad set up is not higenic as everyone touches the leaves to get some and just leave it there when they are unsuccesful to get it from the weird set up. the food is the same every day !!!! The cleaniless is not great in the rooms, lots of dust under the cupboard and bed that never was cleaned ( we stayed 6 days) and our sink was blocked and was never fixed (water would stay in it for hours) that is something that the person who clean the room should have noticed and liased with the appropriate team. In addition, we booked for 5 people but no extra bed was provided and it was not clear that our child would have no where to sleep. Such booking should not be allowed. In other hotel a sofa bed is provided if the booking is recorded for 5 or a mention says that the room capacity cannot accomodate 5 people. The only positive point was the location.

Staff are friendly throughout the stay, but I hope the counter staff could spend 2-5 minutes introducing me to the hotel's facilities and opening times upon check-in. And I would appreciate it if they could have someone to help with the heavy luggage at the entrance. Kudos to the staff who cleaned my room; they did a very good job, keeping everything tidy and clean, and even surprised me with different poses for my plush monkey each day.

The location of this hotel is good. However, the service from the front desk and conceirge needs improvement. It is very difficult to call the reception from our room. We have to call multiple times before someone will pick up and sometimes someone pick up and hang up immediately on us. This situation is persistent throughout our 4 days stay.

Friendly staff & clean rooms, however quite an uncomfortable overall experience due to issues with payment of drinks, very poorly equipped gym, very slow, noisy and busy reception area.

I arrived at Grand Mercure Bukit Bintang at around 11:40 PM, after making a very last-minute booking at 11:07 PM. It had been an exhausting day, especially after a difficult experience with an Airbnb host earlier that day, so I honestly wasn’t expecting much beyond a place to rest. But from the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us so warmly. The security staff immediately stepped in to help with our luggage, which meant so much to us because my mother was using a wheelchair and my brother and I needed to focus on getting her comfortably inside. The reception staff (I’m sorry, I forgot his name!) was incredibly kind as well. He even offered me a late check-out, which was one of my membership benefits, before I had even asked for it. And just before we headed to our room, he said, “Have a good rest, and enjoy your stay." It may sound like such a small thing, but somehow, those simple words really touched me. After such a long and exhausting day, being greeted with genuine kindness and being told to “rest well” made me feel a little lighter. It was exactly what I needed at that moment. The next morning, we were warmly welcomed again when we came down for breakfast. The breakfast selection was quite varied, and everything we tried was delicious. My mother is currently undergoing chemotherapy, so we have to be especially careful about making sure her food is fresh and fully cooked. I asked the chef if he could cook her sunny-side-up eggs a little longer, and he happily did it — twice! He did it with a smile, was incredibly friendly, and even came back to make sure the eggs were cooked to the level we needed. That kind of care means a lot. And the food? Delicious. But I have to say… the teh tarik was AMAZING. 😂 Definitely one of the highlights of the day! And the pastries — absolutely wonderful. Kudos to your pastry chef! They were so good. The room itself was lovely. Clean, fresh, beautifully maintained, and the bathroom was spotless and smelled wonderful. More importantly, it genuinely felt like home. My mother has been having difficulty sleeping because of chemotherapy, but that night, she slept so peacefully. For us, that was more than just a comfortable hotel stay — it was a little moment of comfort and relief in the middle of a difficult season. And for that, we are truly grateful. Thank you, Grand Mercure Bukit Bintang, for taking such good care of us, even during a very last-minute stay. Sometimes hospitality isn’t just about the room or the facilities; it’s about the little moments of kindness that make exhausted travelers feel cared for. We will definitely come back whenever we’re in KL and need a place to stay. The location is also great, with plenty of places to eat nearby. Thank you, Grand Mercure Bukit Bintang, for making a very tiring day end on such a comforting note.

Very disappointing experience. I checked in after 9pm, yet there was only one overwhelmed staff member handling a long queue, with guests cutting in line. It took over 20 minutes to check in. If the hotel constantly busy evening, more staff should be assigned during peak hours. The room was also poorly cleaned—dust covered the surfaces, wiping them left black residue, and there were visible dust balls on the shelves and open cabinets. When I needed to borrow utensils, the room phone was not working. With only one staff member at the busy lobby, they initially insisted on fixing the phone instead of simply helping contact housekeeping. Only after further persuasion did they assist. Overall, the service, cleanliness, and basic guest support were far below expectations

Great room and the staff were attentative to our requirements. They are in the process of updating the internet (thankfully) otherwise slow if conducting business while travelling. Excellent location public transport if you wish to use to get to different location and short GRAB ride to major tourist sites. About 5 minutes walk to the Jalan Alor Food Street.
