There was no drinking water, when I asked they told me to purchase from the nearest 7 eleven. I had breakfast included in my stay, they ran out of items for breakfast said only 1 menu item is there to eat. I asked for fresh towels they didn’t send it for 2 hours had to myself go to the reception and get it.

Everything was excellent. Only gap was the noise from the street. Sound proofing could be better to block this.

The hotel has a very convenient location in San Francisco, which is definitely a plus. However, my overall experience was not very good. The staff did not seem very welcoming or helpful, and the complimentary breakfast was quite disappointing, with limited choices and average food quality. The room also had an unpleasant smell, which made the stay less comfortable. Overall, the location is good, but the service and room experience need significant improvement.

This place was beyond bare bones. Not even an ice maker in the building. When I asked for ice I was told they could get me a glass of ice from the café next door. NO coffee maker, nothing on the walls. The bed was made with only sheets. When asked about that was offered a blanket that was covered in someone else's hair. Room so small it felt like a cell or hospital. I would not recommend for a stay more than one night. I won't be back.

Michelle L. Business - Confirmed reviews ALL

My name is Michelle L.. I recently stayed at Hotel Stratford (originally checked into room 705, later moved to 805), and I am writing to formally log a complaint regarding a series of severe health hazards, service failures, and legal violations that occurred during my stay. The details of the incidents are outlined below. We were confused to find a severe, obnoxious odor developed in our room. Upon investigation, we discovered rotting takeout fish from a sushi order we made that had been intentionally swept underneath our bed by the housekeeping staff. A personal charger was also found swept under the be, and a dyson airwrap attachment. When we brought this to the front desk in the morning (because the single staff at night said we needed to wait for a manager and could not provide a solution), staff spent 30 minutes misleading us into believing they were mediating with a manager in the back room. Only after intense pressing did a supervisor emerge and admit that no manager was present and that you were in a meeting and unable to speak to us. They picked up phone calls saying the manager was calling, went to the back to "speak to the manager," etc. Furthermore, staff claimed this "could not have happened" directly contradicting the physical evidence. Due to the disgusting conditions, we attempted to check out early. However, your staff failed to respond to Expedia’s management-approval requests upon many different attempts and escalations, effectively trapping us into staying against our will or forfeiting our money. The front desk, in attempting to evade responsability, also told us that housekeeping took "before and after" photographs of our occupied room. Interestingly, when pressed about this, they were unable to procure those photos and instead told me to reach out to you. Now, one of two things must be true. Either the front desk misled us, or this is true and a violation of privacy. This practice was never disclosed to me at check-in or within any digital terms. As I am sure you are aware, under California law, a hotel room is a contractually secured private space. Taking unauthorized photographs of an occupied room constitutes an Intrusion Upon Seclusion under California common law, as well as a Breach of the Implied Covenant of Quiet Enjoyment. Furthermore, sweeping rotting organic matter under a guest's bed constitutes a clear breach of contract, as the hotel failed to provide a safe, habitable environment. I have attached a few photographic and video evidence of the rotting food for documentation. The front desk explicitly stated that you hold the authority to issue a full refund and that they do not, and they offered us a paltry discount that was not sufficient. Because the hotel failed to provide a basic standard of sanitation and either actively violated our right to privacy or misled us, I am requesting a full refund of my entire stay, issued immediately. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will have no choice but to escalate this issue. This will include filing formal complaints with the California Department of Consumer Affairs and the local Department of Public Health, initiating a chargeback with my financial institution, and publishing the attached media alongside reviews on Expedia, TripAdvisor, Google, and social media platforms. I expect to hear from you within 24 hours confirming that the refund will be processed so we can go our separate ways. Thank you for your prompt attention to this severe matter.
