The Fairmont Heritage Place is upscale but not extravagant, located in Gihardelli Square on the bay. The residence is very nice, clean well furnished and appointed. The location is great safe, clean quiet neighborhood. Close enough to fisherman's wharf but far enough from it's crowds. Only 1.6 miles from Presidio and Golden gate bridge. The Staff is AAA+++

Stayed with the family in a two-bedroom bay view room. Valet service, luggage handling, and staff were all great. Location is fantastic. Walkable to a lot of things—attractions and restaurants, but more local stuff if you are an urban walker. Also great if you are a biker or want to go for a run along the Bay Trail. Easy enough to catch public transportation and/or ride shares to others parts of the city. Units are nice, spacious, and well-thought out; could use a bit of updating/refresh. Laundry is a helpful option as well. If you are looking for a large hotel experience or are sensitive to a bit of urban noise, you might consider other options. But we are semi-frequent visitors and for us it was perfect. It is probably our favorite place to stay in the city.
