From the food to the stay, everything was wonderful. The team was exceptional and we had an amazing weekend. The gastronomic restaurant was outstanding, the food in the brasserie excellent too and breakfast was lovely. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. The spa was lovely too. And the gardens really well done. Perfect stay all round!

Pros: Hotel and grounds are lovely, rooms are well equipped and decent size. La Brasserie dinner was tasty and good value. Cons: We would have scored it a 10/10 but an incident at the end ruined our experience. There was a confusion with the breakfast time, we arrived when the kitchen had closed. However, the staff at the kitchen were very accommodating and prepared a last minute breakfast for us, which we really appreciated. As it wasn't the full breakfast spread/experience, they said the breakfast will be complimentary and told the reception not to charge us. On check out, the receptionist refused to refund as we had already pre-paid the breakfast (refunding money back into an account is not impossible in this stone age). The issue is, don't promise something to then go back on your word - this is not professional.

We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and thereafter nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food was a high-quality, particularly the breakfast. The setting of the hotel is delightful with very attractive gardens.

This hotel is friendly, helpful and very comfortable. The beds are excellent the staff are lovely and the setting is magical. Never been anywhere I liked better.
