Great location — right by the Haram and very convenient — but the overall experience didn’t match the Sofitel brand. The room was small, dated, and felt tired. Customer service was the biggest disappointment: none of the notes on our booking were acknowledged (late-night arrival, anniversary, last-minute booking), and there was no recognition of Gold status at check-in. It felt as though arriving late meant lower service. For a one-night stay it was fine, but the service and room quality could be much better.
